....Sharp,Donaldson,Clarke,Coutts and Freeman?

It is a possibility so where do we go?

Blackman

O'Connell
Wright
Basham

Stevens
Fleck
Lundstram
Duffy
Baldock

Ched
Brooks

That's my team but could we change anything upfront?

The way CCV took his goal at Bolton , he must play CF at the sty.
He's a strong lad , could lead the line and Ched/Brooks can share the no.10 role.
No doubt in my mind.
We simply can't have a half-crocked Ched as CF and CW must know that , after what happened last Sat.
Christ on a bicycle , he even put Bash up there in the end , he was so desperate !

If we have the same injuries, don't think we have a lot of choice. I think it's important to stick with our system though, since we're so well drilled. Baldock for Freeman, obviously, but I don't see what we can do really striker wise. I'd like to see Thomas involved somewhere, he was refreshingly direct when he came on, if he's whipping stuff in and we can get a few in their box we might get a few, with that in mind, maybe stick CCV in the team, seeing as he's got a good shot on him in the box.

Hoping Don and Billy are fit though.

I would bet a decent amount that Sharp, Donaldson and Clarke are all back for Sunday.

Fingers crossed we have at least a few of them back for Sunday, other wise it might feel like a long 90 mins.

however agree if they are not that would have to be the team, even if a Tad disappointing against them.

I’m confident Billy will play. Eve if he’s had a leg amputated.

I also think there’s a good chance of one of Clarke/Donaldson playing. But Billy is the one I’m most confident about.

Coutts will be playing too. So probably Freeman out and maybe need to play Ched or Brooks off Billy if neither Donaldson or Clarke make it.

The pigs are a physical side so we need to match them in that area. So I would play Lundstrom in midfield with one of Duffy/Carruthers/Brooks behind Billy if no other strikers are fit. I would be also tempted to play Carter-Vickers in place of Wright to deal with the crosses coming into the box for Hooper and Fletcher

I'd leave Brooke's on bench and bring him on later.

As you say they're a physical side and brooks got knocked off ball a bit against Norwich.

Cv is a good shout wright wasn't at his assured best on Saturday.

Good to have these decisions to make

Def play CCV. He'll impose himself, won't shirk any challenge (not suggesting that anyone does), and will soon plant the seed that this isn't going to be their day.

As things stand I'll settle for a deserved draw, then wait until the return when we're fully fit and have full strength in all positions.

Good post by the way mate, Lundstram would savour this type of game so set him free to show why we bought him.

Billy, Coutts and Clarke will all play. Baldock is better than Freeman anyway. Only real miss would be Donaldson and even he may yet make a late comeback from injury.
agree.. i reckon CW saved them he knows how big this is

I don't think they are as physical as they were 4-5 years ago. They have Van Aken, Hutchison, Fletcher & Lees who are fairly big and physical but Bannan, Lee, Hunt, Pudil, Reach, Hooper etc. aren't exactly bruisers.

Mr Consistent lafferty at left back for me on Sunday. Offers more defensively and has a lot of experience for the big games.
I'd prefer Baldock personally. He's going to be a big player for us. Have been really impressed with him.
