Coutts FA probe

With respect to Bash, neat passing isn't his game, but he could do a role there in breaking up play.

Lundstrom is the least likely of those three options to play our passing game as well as we'd like to, and I don't think Carruthers has quite got the steel to start a game where there's going to be some tough tackles and a bit of rough stuff. In fact I think he's generally quite nesh.

In Wilder we trust. Just my thoughts on it.

Surely the naaarwich player is more likely to get done for simulation

In fact most of them if the match is reviewed

If the worst happens then switch Fleck into Coutts' role, he has all the range of passing and probably a better engine anyway. He can also tackle better so can help shield the back 3 if needed.

Carruthers takes Fleck's role with Lundstram as sub if we need something different.

Duffy as you were with the wonderkid as back up.

Sami did it for Coutts at P'boro last season, which I think was the only occasion. I wasn't over impressed that day with Sami as he is more effective in the no 10 role.

I suppose it depends on what formation we play - it was 3-4-2-1 v Norwich (as mentioned by CW in after match comments), so we may go that way again v the piggies if Sharp and Clarke aren't available. If so, then I would expect Lundstram at the side of Fleck.

Not sure what formation we can play since we have no strikers.

Not sure if it it. Kenilworth says it was a few yards in from the technical areas but this clip is nearer the centre circle

That's definitely the infringement.

It wasn't near the touchline at all. It was nearer to the centre circle than the touchline. I was in the Westfield game and I've no doubt about it.

From what I've seen of Lundstram he looks comfortable in possession.
Carruthers also looks like a battler, he's just often further up the pitch for it to be that useful

My seat moved during the game then. SS, ten yards from home dugout towards the Kop.

No one got any ITK knowledge that Sharp and Clarke both wouldn't play in Saturday and I expect the same for Sunday - we'll all know 1h 15 mins before KO.

If both aren't fit and considering how poor Evans was - and that is not me having a go, but because of his injury, it wouldn't surprise me to have Sami/Duffy and Brooks as a three up top that alternate. Would much rather have three fully fit players giving everything than Evans again being 50% fit and taking lots of stick off the piggies every time he touches it.

Yeah, same here - hats off to Evans for digging deep but surely better having 11 fit players even if one or two are square pegs.

Doesn't look like it to me. I thought it was nearer the touch line, and at the time I thought he was off. We'll see if my memory is playing tricks...
I thought it was late in the game, on Husband I think it was as they broke away. Straight arm, player made a right meal of it.
Fair enough, must be a different incident to my clip then.

If someone could screen-cap the other incident, that'd help ease my blood-pressure right now! Anyone?

Fucking hell, Jade. Are you stalking me from La Manga?

(btw. On typing "stalking" predictive wanted to put Stalin. Shoulda kept it at that?)

There you are - 2 freeze frames from the video - the position of Coutts arm in still no:1 does not suggest elbow in face and the 2nd image (although small) can show his left hand still in about the same position. The Norwich player gets brushed off as he runs through. Unless the FA have evidence from Coutts side or behind then he will be playing v the Piggies on Sunday.

Jeez man up folks.

No-one knows for sure who is and isn't out, and we've got a squad haven't we.

Hopefully Wilder and the players aren't chucking the towel in already.

Look at it this way, there will be plenty of excuses for everyone if we lose.

Even if we were down to a second eleven there is no way Wilder et al would chuck the Towel in, not in their vocabulary.Given the discussion a la Norwich and the aggro that occured it could cause a civil war if we lose by foul means on Sunday.
Let's all take a chill pill and enjoy. We know our lads will "Turn up"and play until the last whistle.

Speaking to a Wendy yesterday he was saying how they play in patches and always look to be hanging on toward the end of games so my guess is their nerves may well be jangling if we are still in the game. How many times have we not been under our present leadership?
Like Dav says Man Up. We have to revert to class because we are not Massive. Underdog suits us much better anyway;)

Play carried on, and they should have had a pen when Blackman wiped out Maddison.

I remember both players Norwich down, although Husband?, soon leapt to his feet when he saw the referee had ignored his theatrics.

Nice one FB. Certainly not enough evidence to impose a retro-ban. As far as I'm aware, official matchday video is still taken on only one camera.
