Yeah, that's what it says on Wiki. I don't recall Agana playing a full season for us in the top division. I thought we sold him to pay for Gayle in the 90/91 season. I must be getting old.November 1991, just before we played Wendy
We bought Brian Gayle at the start of the 1991/92 season. We also sold Vinny Jones to Chelsea around the same time. The Gayle transfer was held up for a while due to unspecified issues, but Dave Bassett later admitted in his autobiography that he personally had helped fund the Brian Gayle signing as the banks were getting nervous.Yeah, that's what it says on Wiki. We signed Gayle in Sept 1991. Do you remember Agana scoring both goals in the 2-1 win against Norwich in May 1991?Yeah, that's what it says on Wiki. No. I don't even know if I was there. Was that the game that made us safe?We signed Gayle in Sept 1991. Do you remember Agana scoring both goals in the 2-1 win against Norwich in May 1991?
Of course, we couldn't have played Wednesday in 90/91 because we were a league above them.November 1991, just before we played Wendy
He should have had the op during the international break to minimise the time outI think what we did Saturday, minus the shite defending in the first half and with Donaldson for Ched, would actually be an extremely good system.
Donaldson and Brooks are both positive players, Don has shown that he can make good runs and Brooks will link up nicely with him.
So just one fit striker would do me, but I hope we have a bit more choice.
Ched should get his operation. I admire him for playing with an injury but he's not really doing us any favours, I feel like a yoof striker that's 100% fit but inexperienced and an experienced striker out for a few weeks but fully fit on his return is better than what we had on Saturday. And you never know, being forced into calling up an under 23 may turn out to be some amazing fairy tale and the lad'll score 25 goals.
A yoof might not score loads of goals, but neither will Ched at the moment from the looks of things, he can't even kick the ball full whack according to his interview in the program. Getting him fully fit should be the priority and we'll make do in the meantime, either with attacking midfielders or with a rookie.
He's looked alright to be honest, not bashing him, but he'll serve us better fit. I think he'll get a fair few once he is.
Obviously I'm not a football manager though haha
I'm not sure if billy or don will play on Sunday?. Wilder will leave us all guessing for the next few days!!. That's one of the many things I love about wilder. He keeps his cards close to his chest and leaves everyone else guessing?. We'll have the answer when he hands the team sheet in on Sunday. In wilder we trust. Utb
That was the match when our Kop went roofless. The 2-1 win at QPR (Booker winner) guaranteed us safety with 4 games left to play. Agana scored 4 times for us in the 1991/92 season. v Notts County, Arsenal, L**ds and ForestNo. I don't even know if I was there. Was that the game that made us safe?
Think your forgetting Billy is a true blade, and Sunday will mean everything to him, he surely will play out of his skin and bag a brace minimum, don't rule Sharp out at all.
I think there are a few tactics also at play here, so we lost to Norwich, we play South barnsley massive on wilders birthday!, as a blade, which match would you rather lose!!??

In the league, yesWas Agana our top scorer when we sold him?

Apart from the fact Donaldson will play, I concur with you.If Billy plays he has to play in the box and not out wide. To that end I would suspect Thomas to play the wing and Billy and Brooksy in the middle. If freeman is injured with broken ribs Baldock could play a deeper defensive role.
