fuck me blades have an off day, of course it needs a thread saying it wasn't good enough, we were missing our main 3 strikers, and still played ok, wasn't the best day at the office but jesus christ

Slightly OTT, Norwich put everyone behind the ball and without our best strikers available we found it hard to break them down.

We're going to lose plenty of games this season, last season we would probably have been able to get something but not at this level.

Also to put it into perspective it was only our eighth game back at this level so lets not expect too much too soon, we can't and won't win every game and have already started the season much better than most of us probably thought.

are you for real? Did you actually pay any attention to the conditions of the game in terms of the opponents time wasting, stoppage of play and referee's in ability to allow the game to flow? It was almost impossible to play any football the last 30 mins with the play stopping ever other minute.

Norwich defended well second half, we needed to score first half. Thought our wingbacks got bullied today tbh and we missed our regular strikers. But what I will say is those players left everything out there and we lost in the right way. We'll go to their ground and get revenge no danger.

Describe how we abandoned our footballing beliefs? jesus - i do wonder if some of our fans actually watch the game.

We had over 600 passes in this game, 68% possession and 85% pass accuracy. I don't think it was a lack of football being played.

We also stayed consistent with trying to get into good areas inside the penalty area.

The thing that was lacking was intelligent movement and link up from the strikers.

The time we did abandon our style was the last 10 mins when we were frantically trying to get the ball forward and played some hopeful longer passes and crosses. Even then Brooks still managed to work his way into the box but spooned it over.

I think we were slightly off today. Gave the ball away a lot, nothing we tried came off and other than that one Brookes chance, don't think we ever really looked like scoring.

One he's had the Op we'll know better he's playing through the pain barrier and only 70% fit by his own admission in today's program but Wilder has asked him to delay the op due to the injuries.
