Probably best to leave at least half an hour earlier than you were intending to tonight - Man U are at home in the Champions League and the M60 clockwise has been backing up all the way from the M62 throughout the summer, so you're likely to be queuing from Cheadle until the M61 turn off. Oh, and they are also forecasting heavy rain and storm force winds. Good luck!!

Plus, as mentioned elsewhere, there is no train that will get you back to Sheffield after the game.

Tbh I can't think of a more unattractive fixture to travel to - apart from the fact that we have a decent chance of turning them over, of course

Which way is M60 clockwise ? From the West or East ?

From the west, if you went via Glossop, and picked M57/M60 up that is clockwise
The M62 is just as bad though as there are major roadworks round the bury/Rochdale area. Plenty of travel time recommended

If you come off the M57, surely anti clockwise is the way to go, it's generally less busy than clockwise. Up to Middleton then round to the M61 exit. If you get to Rochdale, you've taken a wrong turn :-)

Clockwise only runs one way mate.

Imagine the M60 is a clock, then Bolton would be midnight and Stockport would be 6, or near enough.

If you go over Snake or Woodhead, you go down the M67 to the end and then go anti-clockwise, up past Oldham and follow the signs from there

I only do digital, can you explain using the 24hour format please ;)

Better travel advice is... don't go.

You going, then, Traffs?

Trafford you agree with this ??
I think that Trigger actually means the M67. The M61 is more or less directly opposite the M67 exit (6 o'clock and 12 o'clock maintaining the clock analogy) but I only ever go clockwise, so can't say what the traffic will be like going the other way, sorry. And you've hopefully already set off now anyway.... :)

Sheff at weekend?
You going straight back across the pennines?
Yes, travelling over with Dan as usual. Staying over but out for a meal with Carole's dad. Will you be in a local pub after the game - might be able to squeeze one in if so but don't change any plans, as I'm not sure of the timings yet.

Sounds good. Let's do that.
Will be in touch on PM or phone to arrange :)

Yes, M67, my mistake. My route worked for Trig Jnr (TY) and the only hiccup was my terrible directions to get him to the car park next to The Barnstormers pub :-)
