I remember reading about our players having their pre-match lunch at Davy's and then walk to our ground. Even Wendy players did the same before the derby matches at the Lane. I think they went to the one in Haymarket

This was probably the dodgiest pub I've been in, in Sheffield at least. A friend of mine took me there, otherwise I would never have known it was there, and it was full of unsavoury looking skinheads, but my mate was a bit of a regular and after the initial shock I felt quite safe. Odd when I think about it as I'm pretty sure I must have been underage, possibly by two or even three years.

There was rumours this was going to reopen as a bar. But it seems to have fallen through.

Yes, I read that on a couple of forums too. I suspect it would be very difficult to make a bar viable down there.
