For those of you who that haven't got the bed stuck to your back this morning and have BT sport looks like we're on against Brizzle Rovers in a bit

Is it the one when we lost 2:3 and woody scored from the kick off? Mid 70s.
Arse V manure on at the moment.

Looking at the kits I'd guess it's 76/77 season .. some quality players on show .. Liam Brady , Gordon Hill , Malcolm McDonald .. seems really strange seeing Highbury with terracing again & an atmosphere unlike when they seated it or the new place , went there in 81 for the second leg of the league cup after we'd beat them 1-0 at lane

Elton John The Big Match studio compare, with Kevin Keegan and Mick Channon in the studio :D 19th December 1976.

I was there also in 81, Tuesday night? After the game was very interesting, got back to Sheffield about 7 am the next day.

On now :) and I think it is the 2:3, he said five goals. We threw away the 2 nil lead. I was on the Kop that day. Rovers score and there is not a sound in Bramall Lane.

Worboys and Staniforth did for us that day.....
Yeh and ricochet off a knee off kenworthys clearance .. I first went following season 77/78 saw Woodys last season before he left ... never saw TC in a blades shirt only in a dirty L**ds one when we played em in league cup in 79 in the Nicky Johns show !!!

Nicky Johns......looked a real prospect at Millwall, then came here, from the States, I believe...fuckin hell..he must thank god for Lee Baxter's disastrous half game for us.
He did turn out to be a good keeper ,
for fucking Charlton though after he left us .
That night game v Liverpool though in previous round .
Oh what a night ......

Oh what a night ......
And Conroy's save from McDermott's screamer, heading for the top corner, the ball boy hacking the ball off the line, when Dalglish ( offside) tried putting it in the net.....
Oh,and Gary Hamson and the winning goal!!!!!!!

To be fair, this was the great Brian Clough Forest side we lost to. No shame in that!

It was a taster for what was to come from that great mans team over the next few years,i do remember after the game BC praising the support our fans gave to the team, even at 6-1 down, something he would repeat a few times whenever we played Forest, most notably on the occasion of his last ever game in charge of Notts Forest

They've had us on three times recently. 0-6 v Forest. 0-4 v Chelsea. 2-3 v Bristol Rovers. At least we are scoring.

EDIT: We may have scored v Forest
With that in mind I'll not bother looking for any others featuring us ! Even happened in 4th Division Champ campaign, only friggin game they had on as the 'mini' match was the 5-2 defeat at Colchester .

Watched us vs oinks in the 1-1 draw at Easter 80 remember be given & drinking 2 pints of lager as a 12yr old in the railway club on farm rdpre game when the gypo trod on Kenworthy's already broken toe .... I still hate that twat
