Did Stokesy do enough to earn a full time deal?

yesterday? Personally i thought he was tremendous

Come on... you're not doing anything for the stereotypical view of the Irish if you think any of this lot are buying the fact that you're a United fan :D

We're a cynical bunch, and although these lot haven't got the details to hand that I did when I rumbled you, it's fair to say that they have their suspicions of you.

For those who don't know.

Our friend Stokesy is, as he claims, Anthony Stoke's mate from school. And he currently plays for Castlerea Celtic in the Irish leagues.

I was in the John Street stand mate, his off the ball movement has to be seen to be believed.

My mate was sitting behind Blackers and he said that he heard whispers of a £3.8 million permanent deal for the lad. It all makes sence to me now, they've just been hiding him on the bench all these matches to keep the big boys off the scent. Very clever blackers

Hahaha, top marks on the creative writing.

Perhaps you could text Stokesy and see if he wants to do a Q&A/interview for the site? ;)

Just did a quick Q&A with him right there.

Question: "Stokesy mate whats the crack, listen well done on yesterday im sure the contract offers are ready to flow, listen i post on this Blades forum, they love you, think your savage, and want to sign you on a permanent deal, they were wondering would you do a Q&A on their site?"

Answer: No

Must be to busy negotiating contracts, sorry:(

What a waste of modern technology and a waste of a place on the bench, stop putting this drival on the net boy, you have been rumbled and so has you hero.

He tried... I think it was meant to be a shot on goal but we sit around the half way line...

You posted on here at 2.17 yesterday. So you must have got down to the ground pretty quick.

It's not April fools day is it? :D

Anthony Stokes may very well be a lovely boy. I don't know, I haven't met him. He might be nice to his granny, and his mate who likes to waffle on about his skill.
I'd be more than happy to sit and have a beer or two with Mr. Stokes, as long as he pays.
However I would rather lick my own arse than have him sign permanently for us. His off the ball movement, at least that on the pitch, was terrible. He did manage to put in a fantastic tackle, but as it was on Small Quinn then you can't really count that in his favour. When he has got the ball it seems like the only coaching he has had has been from Gandalf, the "You shall not pass" bit anyway. (Not the "Run down the line all the way to Mordor" bit.)
The only piece of paper I want him to sign is a travel slip for his train ticket back to Sunderland, because they are the only red and white stripes I want him in.
He's not fit for ours, regardless of how many of his mates come on here to sing his praises.

Not that I'm his greatest fan, but it would possibly help if (bearing in mind he's one of the most one-footed players I've ever seen) he was on the correct wing.

Right footed player out wide on the left? Does not compute ...... does not compute ..... does not compute ......

Him and Robinho like to play on the left despite being right footed, very similar players actually
