Messiah? Over the last 10 years for each new manager I asked "Is this the Messiah"? :ridiculed mercilessly.

Transition. I restated the owners quote that we were in a transition under Weir. Negative budget, club has to pay it's own way. I welcomed that at the time because we had to get back to basics, not just spend money year after year as though it was a bottomless pit, i.e. McCabe's bank account, overdraft £60m plus: ridiculed mercilessly.

We got new half owners and things became more possible again but after two failed managers (not Messiahs unfortunately). Bottomless pit hit the bottom.

Well folks. We now have almost completed the transition with our Messiah. Value for money solutions by a thrifty Blade. Transition well under way, books balance with a bit to spare if needed now and in January. Manager 'appeh, owners 'appeh, we're 'appeh, local press love the man and 'appeh, football world in awe at our achievements as a United club.

The only thing wrong with this progressive, ambitious club over the past 10 years has been our managerial appointments. We have now struck Gold and Hallelujah we deserve to do exactly that because so many KEPT THE FAITH in its finest interpretation, as regards a football club anyway. And we are back to BASICS.

Proud to be Blades and 'appeh.

Oops ~If I could turn back time ~ didn't realise there was a history, never mind it was a flippant remark.

Well I quite enjoyed it although lot of the references were lost on me.

It's just a guy being consistently wrong about transition I think.

Call it what you like folks : Transition, transformation, essential change, metamorphosis, adaptation, passage, whatever - we've done it Pete.

And boy did we need it!!!!

Thats the biggest load of shyte since George Orwell skanked all the shit on 1984 and the realignment of the waring states and the re writing of history.
You're so overdue a flouncing "I'll never post on here again"
This self agrandising bollocks should seal the deal.

He's well ITK DC. He's spoke with managers and knows exactly how much we have to spend before 11pm terneet.

Wish I knew like. If only I had the contacts WWF has.

You are trolling.

WWF may have his faults but he has attempted to start a thread with an impassioned post about our manager. You have simply reverted to the previous spat about budgets, rather than engaging his post.

You can tell me to do one, revert to previous spats with me or much less likely, stop trolling.

Of course love.

Desso and Baki, anyone?

Clough did have the power of a Dynasty at Bramall Lane, and was offered and given all he could want in terms of authority and control. He even exceeded all that authority by not even paying lip service to the recruitment panel which included his brother as Head Scout anyway. 7 strong management team, brother, Chief Exec all ex - Derby.

Wilder will earn such power which was handed on a plate to Clough. Better to earn the right rather than assume it. 12 months on and there's little doubt who is in charge on anything to do with football in S2, not like S6 for example.
