It looks like we've got our defender and striker, who could the last two be?

Not many new names have cropped up recently and to me it doesn't look like we'll be getting Leonard.

I think it's likely we'll sign someone else who can play up front with Hanson leaving and Lavery possibly out for a few weeks. Not sure if it's more likely to be a target man or someone who can also play wide though.

Both are likely to be permanent deals.

Any ideas?

It's got to that interesting stage where the known targets seem completely off the radar, so it's impossible to predict.

Wondered if John McGinn might be a possible target? Saw that Florist had a bid turned down last week.

Centre Forward, Central Midfield (the priorities) and wide attacker are Tufty's targets, having listened to him very carefully. Possibly another CB as well but less pressing now we have Howard Carter's lad.

We are still after the Two Lennies but not relying on those deals alone.

Don't ask me for names. NITFK.

I think Devante Cole might be worth a punt. Started the season like a house on fire and he's like shit off a shovel.

Give them Lavery on loan in return.

Conor Chaplin with Lavery going back to Pompey might be goer if we can get in early with a serious offer and grab him this window...lorra, lorra competition though...

Might be wishful thinking but still hope brayford could be used as a makeweight for Irvine... suspect that one might just be beyond us unfortunately.

Wilder is pretty good at keeping his cards close to his chest - ccv wasn't really rumoured until signed for example.

Cole's one of those who could go on a goalscoring run and attract big bids in January. Might be worth a punt now at the right price. His goals this season have been impressive finishes. Doesn't seem likely that we'd sign two similar strikers in him and Sinclair though. There seems to be a rumour about him, where's it come from?

Good shout that. He's done well recently and is the type of midfielder Wilder would go for, and the type we want now - more of a ball winner. Left footed too. Will be affordable. Remember we seemed close to signing him about 3 years ago.

Max Power's a shout from me. He's a solid type of midfielder with good ability and wants out at Wigan, and they want to sell. One year younger than Leonard. Alex Gilbey at Wigan's a good player as well.

Yeah the thing about Chaplin is he could play behind the strikers or upfront. He's a good player.

Like that shout.

No idea but I like it.

I think Lavery's injury puts paid to the idea of us getting shut of him. If we had got rid of him and Hanson I think we might've signed two.

We've seen what pace can do to sides in this division, Cardiff tore us to shreds and are doing it to everyone else.

Chaplin is a good shout further up, we could sign him and Sinclair cos he can play two positions. But you're right I can't see us signing Sinclair AND Cole.

I hope Joe Lolley can still be a possibility. He seems like a good fit for us.

How Wagner can suddenly suggest he wants to keep him on the basis of one cup game against a team two divisions lower I don't know. It's like he had no idea about him before that game, when he's had him over a year. Seems ridiculous.

But if they're keeping him we could have a go for Colin Quaner instead. Maybe ambitious but quite ideal. Big, strong, quick, right wing, centre forward. Could do well with a run of games.

Left field signings on loan from the prem.

Wickham or Ulloa - be on big money but not really featuring. Wonder if they might be loaned out before Thursday?

Think it was him that looked like their only threat in the play off final - pace and power and strong running from the wing.

Not much in the way of end product but certainly looked dangerous and has the attributes we are missing.

Pushes the loan fee / transfer fee up.

He got on their bench on Saturday though.

He changed the game against Wednesday too in the second leg. I was shouting for them to bring him on because they had no centre forward presence, they brought him on, but on the right wing, and he made the goal.

The more I think about it, I'm not too bothered if the player we sign can't 'finish' -

we've got a striker in sharp who'll score if given the chances. We don't have someone to do that other side and bully defenders. I'd love someone who's a big powerful threat.

He'd certainly fit the bill.

Irvine was supposed to be signing for Hull mate, unless it has suddenly fallen through?

Yeah - Did see that rumoured and would make sense as a clucas replacement. Haven't seen it being confirmed as yet tho - maybe as I say brayford could be a bargaining chip.

Don't know if we could match what hull are offering but we certainly look more stable - they've sold everyone pretty much and are built on loans atm.

Well this is one possible target who's a no-no now.

Looks class, reckon Bristol City have done well with this one.

Leko's one I would've quite liked to see here. Fast and versatile attacking player who's highly rated at WBA.

Jeremie Boga is going on loan to Birmingham apparently. Redknapp getting his way, for once.

So that's two we were probably looking at now off the menu.

Dunno why people keep trusting redknapp to develop their players...

He's never in his entire career put anything above his own self interest. If I had a young prospect I'd not trust him to redknapp I'd want someone to take care of them and try and give them the right opportunities to develop.

Is Maddison still being touted at £1 million by the Posh chairman?

23, tick, skills, tick, might be a bit of nob..erm?

Jamie Murphy.... (bladeyblade bla bla bollox to follow)

Conor Chaplin would be a very realistic signing regardless of them having Lavery on loan.

Seen today Billy Bodin has been linked to some decent championship sides (fee mentioned only being £250k) and we aren't one of those mentioned.

Suprising for me as I would have thought he'd have fit into the exact type of player Wilder goes for. He'd be a similar style to Marcus Maddison in some ways, a player again rumoured we've been tracking but Bodin is perhaps a little quicker if memory serves? Scored some crackers in his time at Bristol Rovers.

He's been scoring consistently for a while now. I was wondering if he'd start being linked with a move.

I think he's got all those goals from the wing too hasn't he? Right footed but often plays the left, can play up front too. So he ticks a few boxes for us there.

250k seems very cheap. Maybe he's got a low release clause like Matty Taylor had.

When r dese sighnins appnin? Onleh cupel dez t gu...
