If Billy Gets Injured

It is annoying how many people have jumped onto Sharp already saying he can't cut it at the championship level. He will always struggle away from home if we are trying to catch teams on the counter but he is a class act in the box and will get 15+ goals at this level (probably most of them as scrappy goals in the box at the lane).

My biggest concern is what if he get's injured which is quite possible. Lavery, Evans, Hanson and Clarke don't look like they have 10 goals between them and I don't think they offer enough in other attributes to make the starting line up each week. I think we are in desperate need of a half decent striker, I'm not saying go out and spend stupid money but we are really short on quality in this position. I think we have enough quality and strength in depth in other positions to keep us up.

Lots of clubs are looking for strikers but it's bloody hard to get good ones for what we will be prepared to pay. 2 mill tops would be our spend on a player and that (in this division) will get us bod!

I personally really like Lavery. His goal was never intentional however, he has pace, quick feet and can take people on. He may not be a world-beater and there's rumours around that CW isn't happy with him (for whatever reason) but to me always looks dangerous

Was definitely a lot better than Ched tonight and grew into the game by the second half

Looked rusty but that's not surprising

Do agree with most that we need another quality striker brought in, but he's got a lot to offer as a back up and will push for a place as long as he stays healthy
