He supports Halifax town and seems to get on and know Wilder well from his time there.

There is no bias from him against United at all, nor is there with any of the Radio Sheffield presenters despite what many think. Even Rob Staton who is a known Wednesday fan remains very balanced and impartial IMO.

Staten was a Wednesday fan 100%, my Dad knows his Dad. Although I seem to remember that Paul Walker was a Blade but as he was covering all the teams he ended up wanting them all to do well due to the connections with the staff and fans perhaps Staten is the same.

Imo I don't think you could watch all the teams, speak to emotionally invested fans of them all everyday, see moments of triumph and despair and still maintain a deep hatred of one!

Staton has an even stronger leaning towards the pigs. Comes across almost like he doesn't want to talk about United at times and seems to know our neighbours in a lot more depth.

Buchan has no preference for any team as far as I can tell. If he has a prevalent knowledge of any team in the region....maybe Barnsley. I have a strong suspicion that he's a Huddersfield supporter.
