Cardiff City v. Sheffield United - 15/08/17

Very very sloppy on the ball again. Seem to be weak on the ball too and getting shoved off easily.

Another side with a mountain of a back line and forward line. Zohore causing problems and Bamba winning everything the other end.
 



Same as Boro, we have the ball in midfield, fleck jinking working space, still no pass on. The movement up top is non-existant.
 
Struggling with balls into the box against their big lads, really causing us problems.

For all our comforts on the ball, it's tippy tappy with no progress. Build up is painfully slow, balls over top just like v Boro and we're caught out.

We will do extremely well to get a point at this rate.

That said, 200% stone wall handball in box, think ref didn'tgive it because Sharp had the ball just to stick it in from 6 yards, but somehow blasted wide.

Enda's ball control hasn't been great when put into decent positions by fleck.

The annoying thing is, these aren't great at all. Just been dominated at the back from set pieces and long balls.
 
Won't stop their big athletic lads dominating and won't stop what happened for their goal.
 
United, Sharp and Clark haven't had a sniff, No Shots on target, 2 (feeble) shots off target, No corners, defending poor for their goal. Mmmmmmmm :/
 
Just shows how close this league is. So far one goal separating teams in all our games. There are such fine margins. We need to improve ball retention, we really will get punished if we don't.
 
Think we need a little bit of a change i love basham but for me, hes the new collins. The passion is there but hes not what we need for this league. I think were still short of a couple of centre backs one good midfielder and a striker.

When you see Sharps chances....not a sniff.

The first was awful, should have been buried.

The second should have hit target with, even then it was only a foot wide.

We've kept the ball quite well position stats suggest 60%
 
Fleck having his best game this season for me, made space and making things happen.

For me should be going into the dressing room level.
