Ched Evans - the truth?

it's his 2nd appearance of the season ffs, i hope you never start a new job and on day 2 people start saying your shit.
bring this back at Xmas and let's review it then, till that point stfu and support your team.

Let's be honest. Ched Evans looked like a headless chicken coming on against Middlesbrough this evening. Why is he back here? Is it really an arrangement through MaCabe or, as he claimed, really Wilder's choice? If the latter, why? If the former, shouldn't it be made explicit?
Shall we just burn him at the stake and have done with it?

I wonder how many of the morons who booed Ched will have gone straight out on the piss, onto a club and hoping to pull some impressionable bird?
I wonder how many will get their mate to pull someone and then join them later for sloppy seconds?

Yes, good point. I wouldn't have said no though, back in the day. As long as she consented of course. It's all down to the time interval isn't it?

I imagine if 24 hours had passed and you were second man in, after she'd had a shower and put a clean pair of knickers on, it wouldn't be such a problem?

If I am proved wrong about Ched - and my doubts are based on whether he has the acumen and fitness to make it at championship level, not based on any moral agenda as some imply - this site will get the biggest mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa it has ever witnessed, and my own admission that Lincoln Blade is the biggest bollock, nob, shithead, throbber (what's one of them?!!!), one-dimensional wum, prick, berk, to ever post on s24su. I promise ...

I think most sensible folks doubt whether he will ever get back to a level of fitness that makes him the force he once was. But...it's worth a shot surely? I mean, it's not like we are staking the club's future on it or have broken the bank to get him. As for your summary of his bit part in the game last week - I thought he did o.k. in the short time he had on the pitch and looked more of an option up front than Sharp. And no, I'm not suggesting we drop Sharp at this stage. I still think that Sharp and Clarke will be the first choice starting pair - but I can see Evans forcing his way past Sharp over the coming weeks if Billy has many more games like the one at Boro.

I wouldn't even apply a 24 hour time frame. I'm just not into stirring someone else's porridge.
But the point I'm making is that if it had been as simple as just 'pulling a drunk lass', it wouldn't have even got to court. Although we all know that as it's been discussed in depth for the last five years.

Ched's been one of the biggest positives of the season so far. He's looked like our best striker.

He definitely has something to offer and will only get sharper if he stays clear of injury.

Think Ched needs a start this Saturday but who to drop? Clarke or Sharp?

Also maybe Duffy in for Sami and Brookes given 30 mins.

UTB and come on Sunderland :p

Think its gotta be ched and sharp up front , dont write carruthers of hes looked good and lets be fair weve played 3 top teams who will al be chasing the play offs

Freeman the poor performer for me. He's been very average since the day we were promoted. So from April right through until now he's been below par.
Brayford and Baldock are breathing down his neck me thinks.

Played well last night, was positive, troubled their defence.......

What about Thomas anyone? He's got pace and willing to shoot - which is novel!
. Wouldn't be a bad idea in my view!. We need someone who's not scared to run at a defence and have a shot!!. Give him a chance on Saturday as a sub probably?. I M H O. Utb

Yeah, I think get him on the bench and give him a bit of a run out. I don't know if you've heard or seen any of the interviews with this lad, but he comes across as a very decent lad, a very humble, unassuming character and very genuine. The lad speaks like he knows he's extremely fortunate to get this chance and he's absolutely desperate to impress and for it to work out. This is such a refreshing change from many "Billy Big Bollox" types that we get in football. I'm really impressed by his whole attitude towards being at this club and I really hope it will work out for him. Chris will know when he's ready for that step - and I trust him entirely to make that decision - but am looking forward to cheering him on when he does because he comes over as such a great kid.
