Boro away security warning

We need a few plain clothes coppers in with our away support now for a bit to get them and ban them, far too many little coked up pricks chucking flares etc. Its put off quite a few of away supporters, especially lads with dads. People who have been going for years dont want to anymore and it needs sorting this season before somebody is seriously injured by a thrown flare.

A big game, back on telly, let's just hope we do ourselves proud on the pitch and in the stands!

It's bullshit apparently. They can't actually smell it unless you set it off in your pants or something in the queue! The dogs are probably drug dogs from Durham on an overtime scam.
That's not what the article says. It says that with some types of flare, the dog may have difficulty detecting them. In other words, the dog's not a 100% guarantee so they should do random searches as well.

Although possibly your post was a cunning plan to lull the culprits into a false sense of security and cause them to get caught - in which case, sorry, carry on.

Total bullshit. Take in whatever you want, lads.

Yes, you can tell by the lack of response to the flares at MK that the day would have been much better without them. Why people can't sit, enjoy a nice flask of tea, and wait for the players to come back onto the field, is beyond me.

;)

At all the other promotion parties we've had over the years, I just kept thinking to myself "this is wank, I wish someone would set off a few flares to liven things up a bit".

Another convert. :)

Ok to me it says they can't detect them unless you at least open them up (not necessarily light them in your pants)! It's nice and vague by saying "There may be some difficulty in detecting pyrotechnic substances when they are hermetically sealed in protective propulsion canisters/tubes such as certain marine flares."

I'm sure there are different manufacturers of marine flares but I assume they're all sealed tubes when you buy them and smoke bombs are in sealed cans from what I've seen.

I just wondered if pyro dogs actually existed or if they were just explosive detection dogs. It takes a lot of time and money to train these dogs it just seems like overkill to me in relation to the size of the actual problem.

I don't let pyro off myself btw and have no intention of testing my theory if these dogs are about as I'd rather not risk a ban.

I thought this was going to be a thread warning the travelling Blades support to watch out for an army of 12 year olds.

When I lived there, there was actually an army of 12 year olds and younger on BMXs who would pick a victim then all ride at them and pin them against a wall with their bikes then go through their pockets and rob everything. Youd think theyd get battered as they were all tiny but there was always so many of them people couldnt really do anything as theyd have 2 or 3 on each arm and leg

behave.. that was a reight 'do' :D
It was. I took that photo. Best away day for a long long time.

Nobody got hurt and everybody was just in a fantastic mood.

We're gonna be in the news this season because there are some BIG clubs who haven't had the privilege of a game vs Sheff Utd in so long. Birmingham, Forest, Derby, Pigs, Villa etc. I fear that we are going to get in the news more often than not for the wrong reasons this season.
