Forget about Brayford's hair; what is going on with that photo? There's a fat Sunday League player in blue and what appears to be a girl skipping with a goaly in the middle.
Brayford should be a first team regular, even with the man bun!

Maybe going blonde again will bring back his old magic.

I'd be happy with that. Contract cancelled, no more wages, let Brayford get a new club. Frees up his wages to pay Coady.Hair, Beard next it will be tattoos, I for one hope he can find it in him to jolt into action and play like he did on his loan, re-find the love of the club and Wilders way, would be great addition if he could, if not then it needs to be resolved sooner rather than later so we can move on and sign the players needed using the wage freed up from Brayford, I have a feeling it will be a cancelled contract by mutual consent, disappoint if it is, but looks to be not many other ways out without him pulling up his socks and playing.

Contract will be cancelled, Burton player by end of Aug..IMO
Or, a season loan if no agreement can be met, with us funding his wage.
Hopefully not us funding it as that takes a player or two out of our budget, would think cancelled by mutual would be best for both parties, he can move on and we can use the gap to recruit players that want to play.
Agree. It would rankle me to see us do anything that might help Burton out. Last season was different, they weren't our rivals. I'd rather we stuck him in the reserves and kept paying his wages than pay up his contract so he can leave with a wad of cash and take a lower paid contract with Burton.Looks like the only way out, if he is not wanted, he might not want that though as I do wonder if he will find a club to match is current money? burton might see it as an advantage to offer lower wages as they would not have to match if he as no current contract, hope we don't end up paying him off, that would be a piss take.

Nowt against Brayford (or Clough), I just don't want us to do any of our rivals any favours.
That would be best all round, being trying to reach an agreement all summer though.
Still think the likely outcome is contract termination.
Would that be his contract actually being cancelled/terminated or rather him being released via agreement of a settlement figure Treeton? The former would obviously be preferential to Utd and the latter to JB with both enabling him to negotiate with Burton or another club.
Otherwise known as "Doing an Unsworth"exactly that BushBlade last season we were helping another team in a league above, now they are a direct rival and if we some how end up in relegation territory, I don't want them having him keep them up and ultimately send us down

Why ever would Brayford agree to have his contract cancelled? That would mean him foregoing all his wages for the rest of the season and for how ever how long his contract has to go. The only way I would have thought we could resolve this would be to pay up his contract (as we had to do with Hamnmond but if Brayford is on say £15k a week that is going to coast us probably in the region of £700,000 if his contract runs for another year.I'd be happy with that. Contract cancelled, no more wages, let Brayford get a new club. Frees up his wages to pay Coady.
So he can sign a contract with another club, who'll play him regularly, for more than one year. Hammond took the money because he knew he was fucked and no one would sign him.Why ever would Brayford agree to have his contract cancelled? Maybe read the post I was replying to and put it into context? If we cancel his contract we have to pay him up.
I think they were eventually: Mal Brannigan and Jim Phipps later. The contract he was awarded is at fault and the vast majority would choose the same option, however the annoying thing to me us that he still collected a promotion bonus of around £500k even though he hardly contributed. In addition his contract has resulted in an increase due to us being in the championship during his last year, which ever sufc exec was responsible for negotiating this and others of a similar nature should have been shown the door. Normal commercial practise does not seem to apply to football clubs.
.
My point exactly so the lump sum to pay him off is not available to spend elsewhere on for example the wages of another player. If we cancel his contract we have to pay him up.

Or we do a deal where we pay a small amount of his contract, just to push him out of the door.If he mutually agrees so he can get the burton thing moving then we would not have to pay him up.
