nWatching iFollow and was proud of our defensive performance today. But I thought Leon Clarke had an outstanding game. Came back when needed looking for the ball, holding it, and bring in other players... great game by Leon.

Blackman was solid and back three were tremendous.

Good start to the season, gave everything for the win but we looked niave going forward in second half.

He's had a reputation as a target man because teams like to play him that way, but he's got decent feet and him and Billy link up well

My MOM today, tremendous work rate and effort, but the whole lot of them gave 100%, great start for the team and Billy.

MOM for me too, intelligent play and positioning as well as holding the ball up and bringing players into play. Work rate and ball control just what we needed to ease pressure at times.

A decent game, he did look a little laboured at times n he made a couple of mistakes, but it's the first game and without his cross we wouldn't have won.

Blackman was brilliant today though, absolute gem!
Hope he keeps that up this year, it will push Moore and we will have 2 brilliant stoppers.

Only concern really was Lavery, he just doesn't look good enough to me, not saying he can't prove me very wrong, and he wasn't on that long, but he just looked as though he wasn't sure where he should be, if you get what I mean, his positioning is a little flawed, I'm sure it's just nerves n first game back and I really hope he kicks on.
I think Ched will be that man as soon as he's been mended properly, looking forward to seeing him n sharp up there!!!!!

Sorry I just don't think Ched will be better than Lavery....he's just not the same player he was unfortunately.....blue touch paper lit!
