There's a bird in there?!?!?

Whatever will they think of next?

Might be one of those trans-gendered thingys, you know how it works in this day and age. Come the revolution they'll all be darn't pit pulling their weight like everyone else, that or shot for being bourgeois individualists

Chill out kidda. I don't qualify for the women's team for some reason.
We all know if it wasn't for all the recent outrage, she wouldn't have been there

When I saw the OP I wondered if it might be for one of those hard to fill posts like Lion arse wiping apprentice at London zoo.

Slightly ironic given the amount of deception practised by Mr Hammond on our former boss!
Or the cocaine addict who smashed glasses into faces in Dublin after a fucking terrible game v Barnsley, I gather he convinced the dozy twat that he was a footballer.

Fuck me, talk about jobs for the boys (and a girl).

A panel of 13 to watch a 30-second clip of an incident and make a decision?

Bet they'll watch it 20 times from 20 different angles, then spend 4 hours talking it over. Every bugger trying to sound more important than the last.

Pathetic.
Danny Murphy and Adkins. Remedy for insomnia. Problem is, Adkins would make listeners suicidal if on a cd.

Lets hope manages to achieves 22 handles and 13 brush heads in his next position.

It does amaze me on here that warmock and wilder come in for more stick than this absolute loser and alcoholic loser Robson
I expected more of Wilder and Warnock, arguably they left at the right time but both went under a cloud, and being supporters of the club we probably held them to account more than we did other managers. Adkins was completely out of his depth at a club like United, I felt sorry for him more than anything. Robson was a complete chancer amd fraud who took advantage of our position for his own gain, and he didn't last long enough to get any real stick.

Regarding Wilder & Warnock, I’ve seen a lot of posters suggesting Billy Sharp as a future manager of the club.

If I was a former player who was strongly associated with the club and held in particularly high esteem by the fans I wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole. I would take any other job offered before I’d take the one here. I’d prefer to keep my relationship and standing with the fans intact and not do something that would almost inevitably sour it.

Fun fact: more former Wednesday players have been appointed as Blades manager on a permanent basis than former United players:

Former Wednesday players

Teddy Davison
Ian Porterfield
Danny Wilson
Nigel Clough
Paul Heckingbotton

Former United players

Nigel Spackman
Adrian Heath
Gary Speed
Chris Wilder

I'd say Wilder was already popular and remains so after his managerial stint - arguably he's more popular. I liked Spackman better as a manager than a player (and I think that might be a commonly held view), Heath was not with us for long as a player and was a useless manager, and Speed was a good player and a not very good manager, but all memories of him are subordinate to his tragic early death.

Plus: Chris Morgan (twice) Cec Coldwell (twice) and Steve Thompson have done the job on a caretaker basis

And of course we have had 2 player managers, Peters and Bruce.

Regards Adkins must admit was was initially really impressed.
We showed ambition by bringing in the best manager available....based on CV.
Adkins was also massively up beat and positive.....great speaker and I was impressed every time he spoke.
HOWEVER when we started losing.....he continued to be upbeat and positive.....after a while his positivity was incredibly annoying verging on delusion.

Regards Robson.....think you have to appreciate the direction the club had chosen.
McCabe was hoping to take over the world buying clubs in China, Australia, Hungary and having links in Brazil.
So it was massively important to improve our world profile, no one abroad had heard of Warnock, so we needed to appoint a world famous legendary figurehead.
Our first choice was Kenny Dalglish, we also went for ex England manager Graham Taylor as coach too....then finally we went for world famous Brian Robson.
His CV was decent but there were concerns he might not be a greatest manager.
So the club brought in the insurance of having Brian Kidd as his assistant...and BK had a fantastic reputation in the game.
The Brian Robson link did work because we brought in several loans (Cahill was one and was Ehiogue one too)
who all admitted they only joined us because of Captan Marvel (Brian Robson).

Regards Warnock and Wilder....they receive stick because they both have big personalities and air their opinions pulling no punches.
Where as Hecky doesn't have a personality in comparison and deliberately seems to avoid questions and controversy....he's bland so doesn't receive the love or the hate.

Also regards Warnock and Wilder, they are both held to a higher standard.
It's a though some fans think.....if they are true Blades then they should be prepared to make greater sacrifices than the norm.

Adkins was one of the first to congratulate United on promotion the season after he'd made a pigs ear of attempting it and for that reason I'm wishing him well in his new job.

I’ll say this for Adkins. From what I’ve read and what I have been told, he had a handicap that only Mickey Adams has had to deal with in recent memory: he was actively undermined by some of the players.

For the sake of completeness, Mickey Adams was on our books as a youth, albeit not a first teamer.
