Cant see any signings before saturday now, the lack of pace is unbelievable for the championship.

The lack of 'p's' in the title of this thread disappoints me.
Got to take the easy ones too, I don't want to end up like Tony Yeboah.Tap in.
We didn't have much pace last season & seemed to do okay...
League 1 pace compared to the championship is a different story. IMO
Wednesday had no pace last season and still reached the play-offs.
It all depends on style of play regards how important pace is.

True. But as much as i hate to admit it, theyve got proven championship goalscorers. We are counting on billy to do a repeat of last season and i somehow dont see it.
Where's the logic in this?
Are you suggesting that the lower the league the slower the players are? If so, by the time you've got down to the Norther Premier League the players will be going backwards!
Which teams have more pace....and name the player and position.
Lafferty is very quick apparently. So are you saying you must have fast players up front?
And it's said the first few yards are in the head.
Our team breaks as quick as anyone. The super quick forwards that would make the difference are too expensive. So our team is designed to be successful without that outright pace.
It will change when we get that player....which will happen one day.
No im not suggesting that but there is a difference, not just in the pace of a player but the pace of everything. You dont get as much time on the ball in the championship.Where's the logic in this?

This pace thing is a load of bollocks. What is important is acceleration over 5 yards. Ask your dad about Stanley Mathews for an explanation of this.

I'd say a few standout pacey players in the division are:-
Kodjia (Villa)
Adomah (Villa)
Traore (Boro)
Hernandez (Hull)
Sessegnon (Fulham)
Aluko (Fulham)
Ariyibi (Forest)
Sakho (Leeds)
Hogan (Villa)
Henry (Brentford)
Costa (Wolves)
Little (Bolton)
Harris (Cardiff)

Brookes (Sheffield United)
I'm suggesting exactly that. The pace of a non league game is much slower than the championship.Where's the logic in this?
