The fact that you believe that only your opinions or thoughts count.
I've been subjected to your self important beliefs and opinions before, I value none of them, I'm happy with my thoughts on matters, and my own opinions.
I care not that Steerman has played at a higher level than Wright, I prefer Wright in the defence to Steerman, based on what I've seen so far!
So who are you to question MY thoughts on the situation!?
maybe he is just massaging the egos of our new recruits?
do we really think if Moore hadn't got injured we would have brought in a lad from Chelsea to sit on the bench?
speaking of Jamal, when Kevin Blackwell was here he was known as "Blacky", wonder if any of our fans will refer to Jamal as "big Blacky"?
The very one!Who is this Steerman that I keeping reading about? Any connection to Stearman the Consistent Championship performer?
The very one!
When we signed Stearman I was delighted because I remember him being such a good player at Wolves. He's really not cut it at all at Fulham and hence he got loaned back to Wolves last season. Wolves were desperate for centre-halves and in fact have gone out and bought two this summer. Don't you think it was interesting that they didn't want their old boy, Stearman, back?
In the little I've seen of him so far in pre season, I've been disappointed, I must be honest about that. I know some folk will come on here and say, "give him time FFS", and I will definitely give him time but that doesn't mean I can't be honest about what I've seen so far. I expected more. That's all I'm saying. Based on everything I've seen from him in the past, which has been good, he looks a pale shadow of the player I remember him being. He hasn't won many of his aerial battles and he's looked very hesitant going forward with the ball. If I was Wilder I'd be telling him to step it up - and quick. Otherwise I think the lad will find himself out of the starting eleven pretty quick I'd say.
I've no need to wriggle, nor do I need to quit, and neither do I have any interest in your thoughts or opinions.Someone contributing to an open forum. That's how it works.
I repeat: I did not offer any beliefs or opinions. It was an unanswerable fact and a suggestion with which anyone with the slightest common sense would agree.
With which do you disagree?
You're wriggling now, because you know you've taken a silly stance that is impossible to justify but don't want to admit it.
I'd quit while you're behind.
Oh my god, you have the same view as I do!!!, won't Pinchy be utterly disgusted and have to try ridiculing you, because your thoughts don't exactly match his!!! Your on thin ice fella!!The very one!

Your free to post whatever you like, but when someone has their own opinion on a matter, it doesn't mean it's wrong, just because it's different to yours, although, that still doesn't seem to sink in to your thick skull!
You only seem to post opposition to anyone and everyone that has a different opinion, or to slate the club and its fans!
It's bollocks.
And you still can't grasp the fact that I thought Steerman would be better than he has been, in the games I've seen him play in, and I would still start with Wright!!!
I don't give a shit, that's he's played at a higher level, remember DEAN HAMMOND!!! your reasoning has no bearing on MY THOUGHT AND OPINION!
Get over yourself for fucks sake.
There are reasons why Jake has played out his career where he has. Players, like water, find their level.
I'm with you on this. It is where a player is going, not where he comes from, that matters. We have had plenty of dross with Premier League pedigrees, and plenty of good players with little in their backgrounds to commend them. We could mention Bob Booker, but he was a Bassett player, so wouldn't count in Pinchy's eyes; so we could go back to the likes of Dearden and Flynn from the John Harris era for players who performed well at a much higher level than they had been used to. There is no better example of cap-doffing than assuming that a player from a higher league is going to be better than one from a lower league; a good manager will make more right calls than wrong ones. Harris, Basset and Wilder all have good records on that score. That's not a 100% failsafe rule though is it?
Players like Ricky Lambert, Simon Francis, Gary Monk etc play most of their careers in the lower leagues but are able to step up when called upon. I think Wright would do an acceptable job in the Championship and the fact he has spent the rest of his career below it, is because he is unspectacular, reliable and almost a bit dull. it is not of a question of his 'rightful place'.
Surely@pinchy, you aren't cap doffing to higher placed team;s players at the expense of ours?
