I agree. I'm up for torching effigies too. Everyone out !

Hell of a tread on that shoe on the right. I wonder where you can buy a pair?

If you chaps had put a new bid in for Leonard then I think we would have heard about. Similarly, if Wilder had lost interest we would also probably have heard by now. So I'm assuming that your club are still in the mix to buy him. If you are still in there, then why has it gone so quiet? Although your love for Ron is undying, he can only react, negatively if you're being tight arses, to any approach from you. So, leaving his barnet aside, it's not him holding this move up. Cough up something in the region of £700k and this can all go away. Remember, even though both sets of supporters are pig sick of the whole thing now, Wilder seems to still fancy it.

Alternatively, if you are as tired of this argument as I am of making it, then I offer you this as peace offering from my last attempt.

The way i see the potential Leonard deal is that he won't be a starter for us (Not straight away anyway) so Wilder may not be rushing to get the deal done for the first game and is biding his time to get it done. There's still over a month of the window left to bring people in.

Take the point but there are certainly going to be games where you might want to be more defensive so he may start ahead of fleck for example. And wilder has always been of the opinion you keep the shirt until someone else deserves it.

Can certainly see him being at least on the bench for every game and getting on in the second half to close out games - similar with lundstram adds to the squad and they would back them selves to get in and impress .

I take the point about biding his time but I'd weigh that up against getting him up to speed and involved in the squad and onboard with our fitness regime.

We've just signed Lundstram so there's no urgent need on our side. The player wants to leave so we can bide our time until the price is right, whether that's end of August, end of Jan or on a free next summer.

If you do manage to get this deal over the line, I would be amazed if he was immediately vying for a regular first team berth. Although he is a very good player he would need time to adjust to Championship football, especially speed of thought. I don't have any worries over pace as he is a deceptively quick player, one of the fastest at the club.

I think this means we (Millwall) are out of the running now:

So, Southend United have tried making it an auction, but have instead made their player unsettled and left only one club in the running to sign him. I imagine this means a take it or leave it offer from you lot now.
The fact that Sheffield United and your club have made bids for him is what has made him unsettled not us trying to make it an auction of it. We didn't invite any offers in the first place, and then rejected offers to date for not reaching the Chairman's valuation. Thought to be fair to Ron he has never said that Lenny could go for the right price.

Anyway, have a good season in the Championship and we'll see you next season. x

Wasn't it saying he could go at the right price then reneging on that promise that caused the issue with the 'transfer request' ?

not the best way to keep you players on side I suspect

I don't have a clue where that bit about reneging came from, and I don't think it was ever anything more than mischievous gossip. I'm prepared to be proved wrong if you know otherwise. The fact is that Ron persuaded Lenny not to put a transfer request in. I find it difficult to believe that he would have agreed if the reneging bit had taken place.

Decent poster who took the stick from certain posters well. Good luck in the new season, reckon you're in for a decent season. Can't see us getting Leonard tho.

Sometimes I fall asleep without brushing my teeth and I'll wake up at 4am for a piss and brush them then. Then I'll wake up properly at 7 and brush them again and looking back on it, it's not worth the toothpaste for a mere three hours of plaque buildup.

I usually put mine in a glass of steradent by the bed. If I forget to do that and fall asleep with them in they vibrate and clatter when I snore and I'm woken by a sound similar to one of them old wooden football rattles. I also wake to go for a piss at 4am. I think we must have similar sized bladders although my cock is undoubtedly bigger than yours.

4am? Fuckin luxury 4am.

Cheers for that. You could have told us on page 1 and saved everyone a lot of time ;)

Good luck this season. Decent side Southend. Played some good stuff against us in recent times.

He's here to provide competition and give us another option. I highly doubt he is better than Coutts or Fleck. But he would be an option to take off Carruthers/Duffy and go more solid in midfield.

Another day passes and no signature.............
Always tomorrow though, chins up!
