Why not sign both? We're hardly overflowing with centre mids. Coutts, Fleck & Carruthers currently at the club. Basham could step up but then we're hardly overflowing with CBs. Signing both would make sense.

Or, we could be pushing Southend into selling.

Not sure CW will sign two similar type players that's all

Leonard the more combative defensive midfielder and Holmes being the attacking midfielder.

I see Lundstram as the alternative to Leonard rather than Holmes

I have no problem with signing both, just not sure I see it. We'll see tho

The only niggle I have is that we will get into a 'Bilel Moshni' situation. He was a French/Tunisian we had a few seasons back. Mad as box of frogs, he was, chased other players with scissors, but a fabulous player on his day. West Ham offered £150k which we thought was a lot for a nutter but Ron kept batting the bids away. In the end West Ham gave us the Foxtrot Oscar bit and we ended up letting him go for nothing in the end.

Now I'm confused, nowhere is there anything factual which says the club agreed one of your offers previously. Neither is there any evidence of that on the social media front.

One thing is I think clear. And it seems the only thing that is.
Leonard will play for another club this season. It's just who and when the move happens.
Think he's coming our way.

Agreed an offer is the wrong wording, but I was under the impression that we were led to believe that you'd accept a certain amount, we met it, and you didn't? Sorry, it's hard to keep track!

That's pretty much the whole story. The rest is conjecture and guess work by everyone.

As Grizzly says it's all conjecture although I've no doubt Lenny's agent is being mischievous in the background in an attempt to make things happen. I hope Ron does not end up minus his proboscis, that would be really horrible if he had a heavy cold.

He is rightly seeking the best possible deal for his club but Martin is playing a risky game. If Utd, as has been reported today, switch their attention to another target (i.e. Lundstrum), he could end up being left with a lower offer on the table (Millwall's) or, if that remains rejected, a player that no longer wants to be at the club whose value will depreciate to £0 in < 1 year.

Not sure which way it will go but it does seem to be approaching the end one way or another.

He looks the joker of the pack that's for sure - good for morale I say. Twat is a bit strong IMO. In purely footballing terms I think he's been fantastic for us and will only get better next season.
