Now we've failed to sign Holmes I'd expect us to be back in for GMS if he's available for loan, as we wanted him on loan while we were still chasing Holmes. But it seems like we've moved on. I think Ben Reeves might be on the agenda.

Aye Reeves has been mentioned. I'm slightly surprised we've not been linked with Luke Berry from Cambridge. Scored 22 goals from the Duffy position last season for an average Cambridge team and they accepted a bid of £250,000 last week from Hibs but the deal has since fallen through. He could be worth a shout?

Struggled at Barnsley, put a lot of clubs off him.

Aye but he was 21 when he left Cambridge. Yes its a gamble as he has only played League 2 of late but he has shone for them and is available within our budget which seems slightly lower than I had hoped for - based on the lack of deals for Leonard and Holmes!

Budget is bottom 6 for sure, but Wilder would only pay for Holmes and Leonard what he thinks they were worth.

Charlton priced us out of the Holmes move, wanting approaching a million for a 30 year old who has never played higher than League One.

Still hopeful of Leonard, both players want/wanted to come or we wouldn`t have wasted so much time on them.

scored at Siroki Brijeg in Bosnia tonight to help Aberdeen through to the Europa League 3rd round of qualifying.
