But what about when you come to pay your £140 to ifollow will there be an issue with a British debit card and living address?
Shouldn't be a problem, but if it is just buy a pre loaded card in your currency of choice.

With this statement on the EFL website (below), does this mean that games for SUFC away at these clubs will not be shown for subscribers to iFollow?

"Please note that the iFollow service is only available to clubs playing in the EFL during the 2017/18 season and who have opted in to utilise the iFollow platform. Those clubs who have not will have access to the same live streaming opportunity and will be able to provide their fans with access through their own club digital services. We are therefore unable to provide subscriptions to fans of Accrington Stanley, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Brighton and Hove Albion, Bristol City, Charlton Athletic, Derby County, Fulham, Leeds United, Leyton Orient, Newcastle United, QPR and Wolverhampton Wanderers."

I can imagine Newcastle and Brighton will be disappointed be back int he EFL.

But yes, there's definitely a few clubs in the Championship not allowing streaming of their matches. Didn't realise it was so many though.

IPVanish keep data traffic logs, they also have a poor reputation.
After much research I've gone for
https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/buy-vpn/
Resonable price & no data logs, Also doesn't block torrents.
Been using them for a couple of years now. Got this so I could watch UK whilst on holiday. They did have an issue with Iplayer for a time, but this seems to have been fixed. Also I think you can use up to 5 devices, which can be very handy.

PIA or IPVanish?

It looks like it means that those clubs have their own streaming services, whereas we will be showing the games at those away games on ifollow.

What it means is those clubs have not subscribed to the serviice so you cannot subscribe to those clubs. You van still watch matches against those clubs when the ckub you have subscribed to play them.

Good question. Ask efl instead. Cant see how they can

How have they been speed wise ? Noticed any slowness or connection problems ? Is there much/any difference when you do a speedtest whilst connected to the vpn ?

Hey up,

If of interest I emailed ifollow to ask about camera angles. This was their reply.

Games will be broadcast in 720p and there will only be the primary live broadcast camera angles. There will not be any alternate camera angles to choose from.

What that means...I've no idea!! Are broadcast angles good and varied?

It's not MOTD with multiple camera angles, it's all from cameras on the gantry over South stand, but for £4 a month it's not bad IMO. Often there are goal cam views of the goals as well. The deal for overseas viewers with all the live games sounds incredible.

I live abroad so think it's amazing, just dubious about the quality as iFollow are not giving a lot away. Just wondering how good the camera angles will at places like Burton Albion, be surprised if they can afford a camera...

It's going to be great watching all the away games live, but I've found watching the full match recordings on Blades Player a bit dead with no commentary and only faint crowd noise.

If the iPlayer streams have no commentary then full- blown Kop sound would be better than nothing.

Should be possible for them to put the radio commentary on with the video stream though - so getting to see what Keith is talking about. I hope so.

Magic Days are coming

I think the service includes a long distance international homing pigeon, bringing you a couple of lead acetates every hour.

For those living outside Europe the mid air corn/seed refueling will be at the cutting edge of pigeon technology and there could be 'technical issues'.

If you have a look at the clips on the SheffieldUtube channel you'll get an idea. Example of a home game

I actually prefer without commentary but definitely with crowd noise

I have massive respect for Keith Edwards the player, and it's great that he's still involved with the club - but not for me that, I'd be turning the sound off.

What the fuck was Simon Moore doing for their first goal?

Ah well, think there were a few nerves on the pitch that day. Those scenes at the end still giving me goosebumps :)

I'm in Australia so a Saturday 3pm game will be midnight or 1am Sunday here which is very late around these parts. Therefore my plan is to watch the games on ifollow 5 or 6 hours after they actually kicked off with my breakfast each Sunday.
I don't know if anyone can answer this yet, but does anyone know if they show the final score anywhere on the website when I access the ifollow service as I want to pretend I'm watching it live & knowing the result would ruin the experience a bit?
I can't wait for this to start.... its a very very long time since I've managed to see the blades live (or almost) & now I'll be able to do it every week from my own living room in my undies! Bring it on...

You're assuming that the recording will be on the site as soon as the game is over. I haven't seen that stated.

Can you only watch matches live, or will the footage be available on demand?

Full match footage and highlights will be available on iFollow from midday (GMT) the day after a regular season EFL league match.

That's for the regular Bladesplayer I assume, so goatherder wouldn't need the full live ifollow package for that. Last season they weren't always on the site the next day, sometimes it was a couple of days.

No, that was taken from the international fans section, not from uk /ireland section. Its not the same company who did blades player, ifollow is from the same company who do NFL.They are very good.

Looks like goatherder will just have to stay up late with a few tinnies and then have a lie in on Sunday morning.

For Tuesday games he can go to bed early and watch the game live with his early breakfast (another few
tinnies)!

Absolute Magic

G'day and G'night
