I wonder if anyone can help me. I recently subscribed to ifollow blades, but can't seem to play any of the videos - such as the goals from yesterday. I can log in OK through the official site, and when I click on the video link the black square appears with all the controls at the bottom - play, fast forward, etc. However, the time showing the length of clip at the bottom right shows 0.00 and the black square is empty and remains so. Has anyone come across this before, and can anyone suggest a remedy. I was always able to play things OK previously when it was Blades Player, and my Media player works OK on other things. Any help much appreciated.

Think there was a thread on this a bit ago. Try switching to Chrome instead of using the default browser.

That's what fixed mine and a few others.

What OS are you running?

Thanks. Please excuse my technical ignorance, but how do I do that? I don't have Chrome installed - is it available to download.?

I had the same problem until I switched to Chrome as Barney says

Depends on what country you live in, and how much you paid, Uk and £40 then no you can't Abroad and £140ish i think then yes you can. If you live in Uk and paid £40 then you get to listen to Buchan talk about his Holidays

i aint paid yet, i live in france and when i looked at it. it said it would cost me 130 euros for the season, and if i get all the games live its an absolute bargain

You'd get all the games live that aren't selected televised fixtures over here (ie on sky sports). Every other game though. It's absolutely brilliant for fans abroad

This isn't quite right. As an international subscriber (non UK IP address) you get all games that aren't being televised in YOUR territory. For most people that'll not be an issue, but for those in the Middle East where BeIN show virtually every game going, it could become a factor. At least this is my understanding of it, as a non-uk resident.

So it only works on Chrome??

I have BEIN and live in Kuwait. They don't show many championship games. Usually just what's live in the UK.

They show every PL game, as well as many from all the top leagues in Europe. I pay 250 quid a year for it and it's a bargain considering you get movies too. Only downside is that it's Richard Keys and Andy Gray haha.

I'll be getting ifollow when I go back there in August.

No. Its the 3pm Saturday game that's picked for international coverage. Football League website lists them. You won't be able to see the game v Barnsley.

Not strictly true. All of live games have been available for the last couple of years, not usually on the main English Channel, but on the Arabic ones. They do have a feature where you change the commentary language though so it's all good.

How does one acquire a foreign IP address whilst living in the Uk? Wink wink wot wot

Just found this.....
https://securitygladiators.com/change-ip-to-other-country/

With a foreign IP I would be happy to pay £140 for all away games

If you log into ifollow with a US IP address the cost is 140 dollars, if you do it with a European address it's 130 euros - so about £110 from everywhere - even better value than the £140 you thought it would cost you.

Magic

Thats Premier League games. They have been testing the ifollow concept for last season but on a closed area.

This is a new concept for this season. If you read the t&cs it says all games except the 3pm game for picked for international coverage - which are on that link I provided.

It's also been EFL games.

See what happens in the new season I suppose

With this statement on the EFL website (below), does this mean that games for SUFC away at these clubs will not be shown for subscribers to iFollow?

"Please note that the iFollow service is only available to clubs playing in the EFL during the 2017/18 season and who have opted in to utilise the iFollow platform. Those clubs who have not will have access to the same live streaming opportunity and will be able to provide their fans with access through their own club digital services. We are therefore unable to provide subscriptions to fans of Accrington Stanley, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Brighton and Hove Albion, Bristol City, Charlton Athletic, Derby County, Fulham, Leeds United, Leyton Orient, Newcastle United, QPR and Wolverhampton Wanderers."
