I think the op refers to a fair few posts on why the fuck we are not signing players from 5 million pounds upwards there are a few with the perception we are to relegated by xmas unless we spend and spend big

you know like Wednesday did to tread water for the 17th season

where the game changing investment threads to name but 30 threads
 
'Turned on' Billy, Wilder et all is overstating things a tad but I do accept that the general sense of euphoria from just a few weeks back has already evaporated for some, based on a rumour or two.

We should have known it wouldn't last though. Even through the racket of cheers and horn blowing outside the Town Hall I thought I could hear the faint sound of knives being sharpened. But then I thought to myself 'nah....not this time?'

We have fans who could moan for Great Britain in the whinging olympicsThe fact we won a title and got 100 points has given way to why are we not buying players to instantly replace the useless bastards were lumbered with
last seasons heroes have deteriorated in 2 months into totally inadequate , " lacking in pace" Ive seen used often , unfit , clueless on championship football squad members not worth a lightI really do think some owls fans really do a number on some of our fans who are gullible enough to believe the big step up to the championship drivel they promote

So say a large section of supporters of every club in the land.

This mornin saw a post saying someone had heard from a mate that Wilder 'lost the dressing room' at the end of last season. Tipped me over the edge that.

There could be something in that. After two crates of Peroni I can imagine he did have difficulty finding it, on his way back from leaving a nice mushy turd in KM's gold plated bog.

Nah mate I won't have common sense like that.

The majority of our fans are deluded, thick, entitled, and have no understanding of football played the right way whatsoever.

I've been told so by two or three of the all knowing sages on here.

I love that we're only just into July, signed 4 players already and Wilder is apparently losing the plot.

Its silly season on here. People forget how far we've come in a year and expectation is now at a new level. When we ended the season, the majority on here were saying just staying in the Championship is progress next season. Now we're wanting huge signings or its game over.

Lets get the season underway and see how we are then. More signings to come, i'm sure, a tough preseason and a time to gel players in. There will be tough competition for places and thats healthy.

I've not seen a single post expressing concern that we are not signing £5m players. What is concerning many is the derisory bids we are making for what appear to be our top targets.

Our budget appears to be that of a small L2 club rather than one that attracts 20k+ crowds and whose owners promised serious investment once we got to the championship.

Why are our bids derisory? We have bid for a few players who seem to be amongst the best at those clubs, its only natural that those clubs play hard ball to get the fee that they want. We're working within a budget, i'm not sure where the L2 budget point comes from. Do you know what the bids have been for Holmes and Leonard? I've not seen a figure.

Lets not forget that last seasons signings up to Christmas were all below 300k and we stormed the league.

Wilder himself has stated that he wants to build on what we have and with players that he knows to fit the mould of what we have already.

The owners have stated previously that the investment will come once were in the Championship, but it would also be a sustainable model. Its still early and as Wilder said, we signed Moore, Lafferty and Lavery all in August last year.

not one youve seen, then go on about us having the budget of a small league 2 club you really do talk bolloclks
we were the second highest in League one and have already spent more than more than half of the championship clubs wednesdays only signing so far is Boyd on a free
how fucking dare you compare us to a league 2 club , thats a pig line if ever I saw one
so I put fans want us to spend millions and you say no they dont we just make derisory offers ,,,, same fucking thing

Are you sure it didn't say that Brayford was texting people at the beginning of last season saying Wilder had lost the dressing room?

Yeah, that's a definite flounce.

Does our budget REALLY appear to be that of a small L2 club? Given we've spent by many accounts to be around 1million so far (without selling this season may I add), can you point to a similar spend of a small L2 club? Thanks.
