Ched or the bottler

I'd take a player that has everything to gain and nothing to lose over an over hyped, over paid, low on motivation flop like Rhodes. Ched has ability but not recent game time, he's on catch up but I doubt there is a more determined, more motivated player to succeed as he is anywhere in the world.

It's also plausible that they've shit their pot full and are on the verge of imploding under the weight of a team divided between overpaid billy big bollocks' and the rest. It may also be a question of time before Chancer gets pissed off with piling the money in with no sign of a return on the horizon. United are on an upward trajectory whilst it's possible they have peaked and are on the way back down. Fuck 'em.

You do realise you are talking to someone who wants us to sign Stewart Downing?

I dont bother reading Player Suggestion threads and havent opened the one about Downing but have noticed that it keeps going back to the top of the Rumour section

No and the problem is that if he comes back to playing a lot of games he might pick up a few

With 5 strikers, all of whom bar Hanson have a case for starting, it's unlikely that Clarke, Lavery and Ched will manage much more than 15 starts each assuming Billy is first name on the teamsheet. Even less if we get another striker. This alone should keep them fresh and clear of niggles for the majority of the season.

Over the past five years Jordan Rhodes has scored more goals than any other player in English football.

Your statement is correct but would have carried more validity if you had chosen someone in your comparison who hadn't spent 4 of the past 5 years either in jail or waiting for the dust to settle.

Blame the person who created the thread then.

Ched wearing No. 32 looking at pictures from Shirecliffe training. Just in case anyone cares.

Okay I'll compare him to Billy to make it a bit more interesting.

Yep, definitely more interesting. Rhodes might even catch Billy up over the next 4 years, although I doubt it sitting on the pigs bench and refusing to take penalties. One big flaw in that scenario though because Billy's got a lot more goals to come so you can expect the gap to widen.

Might catch him up?

He's four years younger and only 14 goals behind him.

Gotta love the good old red and white striped gas mask, eh?

Read my post again, I've already given you the reasons why Billy will outdo him.

Rhodes couldn't even get into a shite boro side that have just been relegated!!. Despite Rhodes better record head to head with ched!. I know who I'd much rather have in a blades side!!. The piggies bought Rhodes in to fire them to promotion!. That worked very well as we all know!. Utb

As crap as Rhodes is with the Wendy's, the only time I'd rather have Ched would be in a penalty shoot out.

Rhodes however is a far better striker than Evans and he's score 20 in this Blades side, thankfully though he's playing for a manager who doesn't seem to have a clue how to get the best out of him.

Well then I'm sorry to have to tell you that you're insane.

I'm no football coach!!. I'll hold my hands up and say I'm wrong on all fronts!!. Time will tell!!!. The only thing I know is that wilder would not have a bottler in his side!!. Ched is a huge risk due to lack of games for obvious reasons!!. We need to give ched a chance though and you never know---. He might surprise us?. Utb

Billy played the entire season...
hes been out injured before though , , no players want injuries but its part and parcel of the game
Billy got injured at southampton in the prem , worst place for him at the time
just because Evans has been out a bit at chesterfield doesnt follow he will be out here
If he starts fit no reason he cant go through season like he did 11 12 season

You said he has been very good for them,it's bleeding obvious that they have spent a fortune and they are in exactly the same position as us come August ,had United gone down the same route, spending a fortune on mercenaries ,price hikes for supporters ,whilst achieving nothing, you wouldn't have been so complimentary

No they're not. They're below us. Table never lies. Lol. ;)

All players get injured however when a player hasn't prepared or been prepared properly there is a greater risk of soft tissue injuries, hence the importance of getting every player right before they start a run of games
