Sorry if this subject has already been discussed before but do other Blades think the same as me in that United should wear our red and white shirts at every possible opportunity rather than having an "away kit" which we seem to use sometimes when not needed.
I know we need a change of shirt when there is a colour clash with the home side but sometimes I just can't see the logic in changing from our traditional shirts when we don't need to.
Perhaps if there was less fuss made of our second strip we might stick to wearing stripes more often and be proud to wear the red and white.
UTB.

I agree. There's too much kit twattery in general these days, teams should play in their home colours unless there's a significant clash.

aww but one of most iconic kits was an away kit. Now I'm just playing devil's advocate but I think they have a place.

It'll be in the contract with the kit supplier. We have to use the away kit in x amount of fixtures thus generating maximum kit exposure. Didn't we wear the luminous green shirt as well once this season? There wouldn't have been a need to I imagine. Its all about the money.

Do we not have a lost property box incase!??

I've long advocated the lycra one piece, comme ca

It would also serve to up our crowds by attracting the LGBT community.

We never wore the grey away kit the year we went down to League 1, 1st appeared in that seasons FIFA game released in September. It hadn't been announced by the club of it's existence before.

I'd like to leave that image somewhere for posterity. Nowhere I'm likely to be though.

That was last season's away, brought back at Walsall 'cos of a clash

Sadly it's yet another part of football's shift from sport towards business and the lure of the filthy lucre...United, like every other team, should play in their first choice strip unless a change is necessary due to a clash. If there's a separate sponsor for the change strip then they either accept this or not. Fucking away kits.
And don't get me started with fucking stupid third kits...I mean, how hard can it be to choose a change strip that doesn't require the need for ANOTHER change strip just in case. Fuck me.

Proper Ronald's first club don't even have an away kit they just wear
white and anyone else has to change to suit them it's brilliant. This is from their Wiki

São Cristóvão's kit is all white. There is a FIFA, a CBF and a FFERJ rule, authorizing São Cristóvão to have just one kit. As the club does not have an away kit, their opponents have to change their kit when necessary. They are the only club in the world to have ever received this authorization from FIFA.

They changed the sleeves though (2015/16 had the adidas stripes going from the neck to the shoulder, the one we wore at Walsall had the adidas stripes just on the sleeve going up to the shoulder seam) so they went through the trouble of getting a new kit made.

Didn't even realise it was different until I just saw a picture of EEL wearing it in Billy's book.

That was a standard Adidas Tabela 14 template shirt. My son has one. Didn't go to the trouble of getting a new kit made.

Can still get them now tabela-14-jersey-macawblack.ir?gclid=CjwKEAjw4IjKBRDr6p752cCUm3kSJAC-eqRtkdCF1GDs59XTw0aS6XpIcwEs7d0YHKM6QEx3o4BQ5RoCnC_w_wcB

Interesting, does that mean they just went on that Adidas miteam thing (or got on the blower to Adidas) and rushed out a run of 20 or so? Probably the rarest United kit ever if that's the case.
