So the meeting was going to be very interesting. As usual, however, a small rain falls from a large cloud. Approx. 8 ths. The fans looked at the meeting rather boring, with ambitious Lechist attacks and standing islanders. It ended with the worst of the draws - 0-0.

Hadnt realised Alan Ogden played in the pre-season tour at Poland. About 20 years ago there was a BBC North programme featured on his heart transplant. He said he realised that he was "easily tired" during the 1974-75 pre-season training and soon after he was transferred to York where he made 7 1st team appearances. The following summer he moved to Huddersfield but didnt make an 1st team appearances. Sadly, a few years after the heart transplant he passed away

I read "little forgotten" as "not forgotten". I think it's just a translation problem. I've worked in various cities in Poland and when I say I'm from Sheffield they always say "Sheffield United". Same in the CIS states of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. We're famous there too! I put that down to signing Petr Katchouro of Dynamo Minsk myself. Same region!

If Lechia win their final game of the season here in Warsaw against Legia Warszawa they will win the Polish Ekstraclasa league and qualify for the Champions League. They have never previously been league champions in their history.

It was at home to Pogon Szeczcin. Lechia won 4-0. The atmosphere was fantastic.

I think they have to beat Cracovia Krakow next.

Lechia only managed a 0-0 draw at Legia Warszawa today meaning Legia are champions again and Lechia missed out on European football on goal difference.
