Every time I hear this man speak, he makes perfect sense to me. This is another example of footballing common sense and is so refreshing to hear a Blades boss speak it so regularly.

The only time I recall him not making total sense was at the civic reception when he was pissed as a newt. Even then, that was just funny. The mans a total top geezer.

This backs up how i feel Wilder will approach next season. I just don't see him abandoning his desire to win every game and doing it with discipline, honesty, fairness, passion, confidence and as attacking as we can be.

It won't be easy, we know this, the two divisions are vastly different, we need to be clinical. But i don't feel we will be under prepared.

If Wilder starts getting stick then he might resort to the safe Carlos Kickabout or Nigel Clough tactics and keeping it tight, aiming for 0-0 at half-time, over tactical and most wins usually by a 1 goal difference.

It wasn't gungho, Keegan-esque, sure we conceded more goals than 3 of the top 6, but we were still organised and disciplined. It's a concern that we conceded a few daft goals.

Wilder is determined and knows what the bigger picture is. Yes its a risk that its his first season at this level, but if we have some decent signings then i think its only going to be a similar blueprint to League one.

Agree with that Swiss. It's new territory, so stick with what gave us success but tweak a little here and there to ensure we're mindful of what's ahead. Should be an interesting season, and by December we'll have a fair idea of how we'll do. Best thing about this is we have a manager who won't be caught napping UTB

Never been more excited about a new season.

We should finish mid table but the exciting thing is we have no idea, could be anything from playoffs to relegation.

To be fair Wilder has well and truly given us our club back and more.
As long as we show the same spirit, passion, positivity and high quality (almost Barcelona- esque) football then I'm not bothered where we finish (as long a we aren't relegated of course).

Next season is one to enjoy IMO

Let's assemble the best team we can and go for it, every game

If we win 2-0 lose 2-0 all season long I will be happy with that

The coming season for me is the first of a two year period during which a team should be built to challenge in year three.

We should not abandon the footballing principles just to try to get a draw here and there

Show no fear and the players will have fantastic backing, bore everyone senseless with over tactical defensive crap and the momentum will quickly be lost

I think next season the biggest difference will be when we lose the ball, it happens no matter how much possession we have, last season there were times when we lost the ball and they attacked it was worrying, but it usually ended in nothing, next season when it happens a lot of teams, a lot of the time will score, difference between the class of leagues I suppose.

This is why I think the most important area to strengthen next season and maybe pay for some quality is defence, we need height, strength and pace. Atheletisism is the key in the champ. Two decent centre backs is a must in my opinion.

I agree jay and I reckon it will happen I mean if we see it Chris and Alan will have thought about it 6 months ago!
