So close, yet so far :D

I live in Huddersfield. I was in my local packed mainly with Town fans and just a couple of Pig fans who happen to be acquaintances. I was proudly wearing my Blades shirt. When Foristieri missed I got piss wet through by delirious Town fans throwin beer around but who gives a fuck!!!!

Devastating blow for football in Sheffield...
Btw, is their ground falling down or something?
Noticed there were more United fans for our last home game than porkers there tonight and they only allowed 2,000 away tickets.
Derby tickets will be like gold dust next season.

Went on the Town forum and most of the Town fans recognised the difference between the two sets of Sheffield fans! Like this below!

"United fans were nothing like these twats"

Fuck that shit.

There is no way, ever, even in a billion years, I will celebrate ANYTHING from the piggy end of Sheffield. When we failed at two semi finals and a play off final they cheered and laughed. When they failed at two cup finals I fucking danced around my living room. When we went up and they went down it was like pulling Lucy Versamy and getting a Kate Silverton thrown in for added filth and vile degradation.

I hope they get to the finals ... I truly do. I hope they get David Hopkin-ed, last minute, bent into top corner, forty billion massives crammed into Wem-ber-lee all fucking rooerin' with tears rolling down their stupid blue-and-white faces.

I want them in the Championship next season. The Stir article is indicative of how yitten they are that we'll roll the cunts over.

Fuck Wednesday. UTB

pommpey

Yer celebrating 'em tonight aren't yer?

Admit it.

The idea that any Blade would want the Pigs to be promoted is laugable.

Sadly, Huddersfield are one of the teams that always fold up to the Pigs (see also Barnsley and Ipswich) so I expect them to reach the final easily.

Hopefully Fulham, who are in better form than Reading and have given the Pigs some problems, will turn them over in the final.

Reading v Huddersfield, who'd have thought it?

You have to feel sorry for the lads at the Star.

All that work on the Pig Promotion Pullout they've been working on since March was wasted.

I look forward to reading "why United fans shouldn't laugh every time they think of Forestieri missing that penalty" or similar clickbait later today, if anyone gets time to break off from cancelling their hotel bookings for next weekend and write something.

I'm distraught at this result. It's bad for the city.

I blame Brexit for Forestrhari missing that penalty, yep, Brexit.

On the plus side for the pigs I've heard that the Dolphin killers are going to invest heavily in the ground and the squad even though Chanceri "doesn't particularly like football" (sky commentator last night).

Chansiri has a plan. That plan is to make as much money as he possibly can out of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, as quick as he can. Then sell up and go back to Thailand where his profits will enable him to live like a King and pack in that job he's got down the cannery on the sardine line.

His 2 year plan has failed. He bought the club "on the cheap" (not as "on the cheap" as Mandaric did though) and thought that with a moderate investment in players he could get them back in the Premiership within 2 years. That all went up in smoke last night. Despite Wednesday being urged on by thousands of fans with flashlights on their mobile phones, the Owls were second best all night to a team of German rejects who know how to play possession football. Something that Wednesday just haven't got the capability of doing to others and cannot handle when it is done to them.

Time for Chansiri's Plan B then.

Plan B has two strands to it.

1 Appoint an "experienced" Premiership manager - even though the club is not in the Premiership - just in case! And don't worry if he's a controversial one who will upset the players and the fans!
2 Do not spend a penny more on polyfilla and rust-protection down at S6 but get your Wednesdayite pals on the Sheffield City Council to carve out a nice prime bit of land near the motorway and give planning permission for a new stadium there - then sell the Hillsboro site to property developers, or a major supermarket chain. The profits from the sale of Hillsboro will pay for a new stadium, almost, the rest can come out of folks Council Tax.

Plan B also has a risk to it:

Having narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premiership for the last two seasons, it is easy to forget how in the previous 3 seasons at this level that club flirted mostly with relegation. The assumption is that the club can only go from strength to strength and will be competing for promotion to the Premiership again next season. However, things can change rapidly in football and I've a feeling they will.

I don't think Chansiri is in it for the long term and I can see a lot of change ahead down at S6.

All that work on the Pig Promotion Pullout they've been working on since March was wasted.

Perhaps they could rebrand it as a "Why all the big Premier League teams will miss Wednesday" pullout?

Well if Danny04 is the Blade he says he is, he will have a fantastic day in the office. Quietly typing away nicking stories from fourms, with a stupid grin on his face. For once some of the pig hacks will have to find an excuse to leave the office to 'check out some breaking news'.

Despite Wednesday being urged on by thousands of fans with flashlights on their mobile phones,

I am surprised that didn't see them over the line. Shouting and singing is just so last millennium...

There is already a spanking new Sainsburys at the bottom of Halifax Road doing poor business, and with the Asda on t'Cross and Morrisons in the Barracks there would be no interest. Fortunately they won't get much for the ground, which as we know is prone to flooding....

Shark Attack!

Let's have a minutes silence for the biggest losers, with this result which has to be the local press, The F/H lot were already fighting over who would be getting the big match commentaries, and the Star reporters must be really devastated too,

AHHHHHH......
