Seems really odd Cotterill has been dropped completely lately and we suddenly drafted Dyer in on loan. I don't think its just Keef that has had a fall out with Blackwell.

I am probably wrong but it all seems abit odd to me.

yeh i agree, i dont think hes fallen out with Blacky or anything like that

He's had as much chance as some others.

To be honest every time I've seen him (and I've seen every minute he's played since returning) I've been disappointed. We know he can be better, but we can't afford to carry him whilst he isn't doing the business.

He might get his chance now Halfords injury is worse than first thought.

I've not seen what Cotts has been doing in training, but I'd be tempted to stick SJH back at right back and have Naughts on the wing. It is a potential opportunity for him though, like you say

Cotterill has been poor since returning, although I admit his chances have been limited. The problem I have with Cotterill at the minute is that I dont think he'll fit into the team very well, in the sense that if he's playing RM and Naughton is playing RB we could potentially leave ourselves open on that side of the pitch. Naughton has showed in both games that he likes to go forward and is comfortable to do so. With a player like Halford infront of him, Naughton is free to go forward, knowing Halford is more than an adequate cover. However, should Naughton go forward while Cotterill is playing there is no cover.....

Im not suggesting this is Cotterills fault, it clearly isn't. But Naughton would have to play a very disciplined defensive game if Cotterill were to be infront of him.....

I agree with Sun Jihai at right back, and after his sparkling debut last week, I see no reason to drop Naughton either. Personally, I'm glad there's a load of competition for places.

Let's just hope that Sunny Jim doesn't think he's Jackie Chan again though ......
