Sixth in the table and a defeat against a team who desperately needed to win.

Our own fans hate some of our players more than any opposition fans ever will.

Fans going to the match and whinging before we've even kicked off.

Calls for a change of manager/chairman.

Can someone answer me truthfully... when did we turn into Sheffield Wednesday?

Some of our fans have got their heads rammed so far up their own arses they can't see who's had a good game or not. One season in the Premiership and everyone thinks we should be billy big bollocks... walking the league, getting every single player we want and spending hundreds of millions of pounds. Of course every team we play will just be falling over themselves to let us win, because we're Sheffield United and we're a MASSIVE club. They'd be honoured to gift us three points everywhere we go.

As for the money. Erm... Manchester City, the richest club in the world, couldn't get Berbatov to go to them. But yeah... McCabe should just chuck money at the situation and suddenly everyone will want to come.

I've seen the Blades lose all over the bloody place. Yet before our season in the Premiership, I've never heard such vitriol aimed towards our own players.

I've been to Stockport to stand and watch the Blades lose in the pissing down rain. Did the fans start booing... or did we have a pissed up conga? (Hint: it was the latter).

Seven years ago last Tuesday, Grimsby knocked us out of the league cup on penalties. Fair enough, the day will be best remembered for other events. But those events put football into perspective for most people and I don't think I'll ever go to a weirder football match.

I think the worst thing that could have ever happened to some of our fans was that promotion season and that year in the Premiership. I for one will enjoy football much more when not surrounded by people who think we're Manchester United in a stripy kit. By the sounds of it, it won't be long before they all piss off and watch someone else.

I'm upset about the defeat... but I find I'm more depressed at the state of our fans when I get home.

and the Blades didn't ?
its more than losing to a dreadfull team who made the Blades look a reight set of cunts..........live on Sky TV.

Sumats wrong big time at BDTBL.

and the Blades didn't ?

I'm sorry... have I been asleep and it's currently April 2009?

Teams win and lose games over the course of a season... that's what happens. We might be left ruing yesterday's game come the end of the season, we might not.

Why get mardies on before we have to?

And the biggest concern I have about United are some of our bloody fans. The pigs aren't laughing at our results, they're laughing at some of "our" comments.

the Blades look a reight set of cunts..........live on Sky TV.

Change "live on Sky TV" to "on the forums and message boards" and you're about right.

Well Linz, I am sure its the obvious answer but its the most interesting thread title ever on here!!

No one wins anything in September.

On yesterdays performance it won't make any difference at all............unless the Blades are in a religation scrap !

No i don't think so........the pigs are laughing at the absolute shambles at BDTBL.

The Blades were shite yesterday,Blackies tactics were shite yesterday and its worrying very worrying.... fuck it up this season and we all know the cosequences !

.... fuck it up this season and we all know the cosequences !

Yeah... August 2009 rolls round just like every other season and we play some games of football.

Regardless of which division that's in... Blades fans will still turn up and people will still find something to whinge about.

The pies will still be cack. We'll still be charging £3 for fizzy piss.

Hardly cataclysmic.

I've seen the Blades lose all over the bloody place. Yet before our season in the Premiership, I've never heard such vitriol aimed towards our own players.

I really don't understand why you let yourself get so worked up by it; just support the team and form your own opinion. There will always be people with a different opinion and who is to say that you are right and they are wrong?

I hear a lot of crap spouted at games and i often find myself thinking; are they watching a different game to me but i don't dwell on it.

I think there has been an over-reaction following a dire performance but the same thing happens after every single defeat so i am now used to it (to the point where i find it funny).

There will always be people with a different opinion and who is to say that you are right and they are wrong?

Oh indeed.. I more than welcome people having their own opinions. But by the same token, I am allowed to state that I think they're being bloody ridiculous and more importantly, the reasons for doing so.

Unfortunately, when I am surrounded by people whinging it saps a great deal of the enjoyment I get out of going to football. Therefore, I feel perfectly entitled to comment.

Surely the best part of most people's days out at games is the banter, the sense of humour and the camaraderie? It certainly is for me.

So when I have someone sat behind me going off like bloody hell for two hours before coming home and reading the same spouted off again and again, I think "why bother?" both for me and the people whinging.

They evidently get no joy out of watching the Blades and have far too many pleasures in life to see that it isn't the end of the world when 11 overpaid, below intelligence men don't kick an inflated piece of plastic into a bit of netting enough.

Personally, I quite enjoy watching those 11 people playing against another 11 people regardless of the result because I'm out and about, having a laugh and a drink with my mates for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon. However, I feel like I've wasted my time when miserable people prevent this by going off like they do. (Yes, I'm looking at you seat V759).

Perhaps I don't take things seriously enough... but I'm fairly satisfied after paying the best part of £50 and seeing my team lose and this leading to people having a reasoned discussion about that based on the things they've just seen. It's just another match in a long line of many.

It's these people that are caught between orgasming because their "facts" are right and getting the sharpest knife out of the drawer to slit their wrists on defeat that frustrate me. Can't you just confine yourself to a miserable section on going to matches... somewhere away from me?

The Blades were shite yesterday,Blackies tactics were shite yesterday and its worrying very worrying.... fuck it up this season and we all know the cosequences !

We didn't play well and we lost, but why all of a sudden do we need to oust the board and sack the manager?

What about those games we won and scored 3 goals in not so long ago? or don't they count?

Fair play to you linz, i would say you are in a minute minority amongst all football fans if you are satisfied if the team loses. I too enjoy the day out with the lads, the pre-match bevvies and the banter but if the team loses then i go home in a bad mood unless we were very unlucky we play well and lose (Blackburn away was the last time i remember this being the case).

That's not a dig at you (just re-read it and it does sound that way a bit) because i wish i could be effected a bit less by the result but that's just who i am. I don't abuse the players or jeer the team, i debate with the guys what went wrong and what could have been done differently; that is part of the matchday experience for me.

The ones who chose to abuse players and vociferously offer questionable opinions are a similar part of the experience and i just usually ignore then.

One thing which i do think has had a big impact on the increase of unrest amongst certain fans is the rediculous price of tickets; but that is a whole other discussion!

sit down fox and linz, i can't see the game and who i can moan at!

I can't say I'm exactly over joyed on defeat. But I paid to watch a game of football and I have indeed, seen a game of football - win, lose or draw. Yesterday, I witnessed a team trying things that just didn't come off against a team that absolutely wanted to win more than anything else. In that context, I refuse to see the defeat as the end of the world. I'm more gutted when we play well and lose, but again, there are positives to take from that.

And I'm not even on happy drugs...

That's not a dig at you (just re-read it and it does sound that way a bit) because i wish i could be effected a bit less by the result but that's just who i am.

I didn't read it that way lovey and I for one am all for people having digs at someone's opinion as long as things don't descend into a slanging match. I'm not saying I'm right, just that these are the way I see things.

One thing which i do think has had a big impact on the increase of unrest amongst certain fans is the rediculous price of tickets; but that is a whole other discussion!

That I don't disagree with.

I thing some people now believe they are paying to be entertained, just like at the cinema, theatre or a gig. If they pay money and the film skips, or the actors forget their lines or the sound systems fails... they complain and they want recompense.

This isn't how football works and it goes back to what SEB was saying earlier in the week about the difference between customers and supporters.

Some go and watch football because it's the "thing to do" - think Naomi Campbell going to watch QPR.

Others go and watch football because it is their thing to do - think "what else would I do on a Saturday?"

I for one am with Linz. Perhaps if you were a thousand miles from the Lane and made maybe two matches a year you would apreciate the opportunity. I enjoy the experience of supporting the Blades and that means taking the good with the bad, but for some the only joy seems to be in their ability to slag people off. Really does take off the shine but I enjoy supporting the Blades too much to let a little crap bother me too long. I look forward to who the Blades bring in but still believe we have more than enough to make the play-offs. Let's just take care of Coventry and Norwich

As you know i will give praise when it's due and stick when it's due and stick is exactly what they deserve yesterday i was embarrassed at watching such a p*ss poor team yesterday it was like watching United under Bryan Robson again thanks to Blackwells clueless Tactics.

I have said this once and i will say it again i can stomach losing providing we give it 100% and have ago teams what i can't abide by is Kevin Blackwells Play for a point tactics they were Garbage against Birmingham and again against Derby.

we should be letting the opposition worry about us not the other way round i won't be calling for Blackwells head Just now i will give him at least 10 more games but if this carrys on McCabe has got to act before christmad instead of fannying about like he did with Robson by which time it was too late.

I seriously do not Understand Blackwell he said that we were going to play football the right way yet we have reverted to hoofball tactics.

When Kevin Blackwell first came in he was fighting for a contract which ment he had to use attacking tactics to get wins to secure a contract but now he has got his feet under the table with a 3 year Contract he has turned to Hoofball which is not good enough in my eyes.

If Kevin Blackwell want's the backing of the fans he has got to get the team to take it to the opposition because otherwise we will soon find ourselves with a situation like we had with Robson.

Blackwells Negative tactics = Negative vibes sent out to the fans and will end up getting the fans back up, Positive Tactics = positive Vibes and the fans will get behind the team.

It's not Rocket science that Attack is the best form of Defence Blackwell should bloody no that one by now!! IMO Cotterill Beattie & Webber are a must for the coventry game we need some pace injected into the team to cause opposition problems because yesterday we looked like a parks team playing at a pedestrian pace.

As for the Issue about Kevin McCabe i will also say that it is time he put his money where his mouth is with regards to the first team because i am sick to death of his false promises i would like his actions to speak louder than his words from now on.

we have been poor in 3 out of the 5 games so far Blackwell needs to start letting the opposition worry about us rather than us worrying about them if he carrys on like that for much longer he will soon feel the wrath of the fans and will end up on his Bike like Robson and it will serve him right IMO for using such p*ss poor tactics.

I was happy with the tactics at birmingam. with the attack they have we did well and id have settled for a point but for the last min and their first shot on goal all game.

We are not Man utd, we will loose games kingblade. If your not happy, write to McCabe about the investment, or go and follow someone like man city who will be investing lots in the team. McCabe may have put money forward and Blackwell not used it because he dosen't feel we should chuck money at a player they might not fit in with the feel at the lane. But, to some, like yourself, its all McCabe's fault that blackwell has not spent money he has put forward.

There were negative comments before we'd even kicked off from some of the people around us, hows that work?

I'd say Beattie is a must if he's fit enough, as he does so much work on and off the ball. Webber may be better as an impact player coming off the bench or in the place of Squinny. As for Cotterill, i'd give him plenty of games in the reserves before he gets to start, I don't know what Wigan did with him, but he's by far off his game. Looks like he needs a pre-season. He's been more than useless every time he's played bar 1 or 2 runs with no end product. On that performance, i'd definately say Halford deserves to keep his place over Cotts.

We've played more than 5 games, but I assume you are just talking about the League. I wouldn't say we were poor at Birmingham, just toothless going forward and hit with a last minute sucker punch (their first shot on target). We played well at Blackpool and bossed QPR, so I'd say we've played badly in 2 matches personally. In those two I don't think we've been anywhere near as bad as people make out.

We are 5 games into the league campaign, if it continues, then we need to worry/wonder if changes need to be made. We are 6th in the league! that means there are 18 clubs who have had a worse start than us, anyone would think we were bottom.

Speedo got it spot on speaking before todays televised game, changing managers every since months brings absolutely nothing to the club, you need consistancy. Smacks of todays attitude amongst people that we are already speaking of sacking the manager and ousting the board, can't get my breathe.

Don't tell me to go and support Man city Just because i do not like the way Kevin McCabe is running the football side of things he is Just a spin merchant he has proised our fans so much yet delivered sod all!!

Well Blackwell has had 3 months to find Quality Players and still didn't bring a Quality Midfielder in Bar Cotterill yet he doens't even start him ffs.

I don't buy all that spin from Blackwell that he doesn't want to chuck money at getting players in i am sorry but if that is his attitude he is in the the wrong game the days of getting quality players on low fees have gone im afraid so we will just have to push the boat out on occasions to get the Players we need i think you will find it's called speculate to accumilate.

And Keenzy where the hell did you get that about us being Man utd from did i say that no i said that i want to see our team play with no fear and go out there and give 100% and if we do that i can stomach watching that and i will applaud the team for there effort win lose or draw.

I was at Wigan when we got spanked 4-0 when we had the likes of Cadamateri Liddell etc in our team both myself and the rest of the fans got behind the team because we could at least see they were trying.

My point is that if our fans see them giving it 100% see that they are giving everything for the cause they will back them simple as but there is no excuse for 3 of the performances that i have mentioned this season and most of that is Blackwells fault.

we got what we deserved at Birmingham because of Blackwells play for a point mentality Birmingham are not all they are cracked up to be nd were there for the taking as were derby.

so its all McCabes fault still that blackwell hasn't spent his money?

I said go and support man city as all you seem to be bothered about is the "lies" of investment. If you want to see a team that says they will invest, and will do heavily, go and support man city. If like me it concers you but takes back seat to watching united, shut up moaning about it and get on with supporting.

And Keenzy where the hell did you get that about us being Man utd from did i say that no i said that i want to see our team play with no fear and go out there and give 100% and if we do that i can stomach watching that and i will applaud the team for there effort win lose or draw.

We aren't going to play with no fear every game and some players are going to have an off day. I suppose you go into work every day of you life with "no fear" and giving 100%, or do some days go by with everything against you? you have a customer complaining at you before you have even started work?

You said you were at wigan giving your support for them trying, maybe the players would try harder and play better without comments of calling players c*nts and calling monty out before he even kick the ball and actual support.

We will have off days and going off like you have been doing after 3 bad games into a season is utter tosh and no good for the players.

Ignoring the fact it wasn't particularly aimed in your direction...

Which part of....

"Piss off McCabe, Piss of Blackwell we looked a bunch of idiots today." - http://www.sheff-utd.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=132039#post132039

...suggests that you would like to keep him? :)

Was something wrong when we won a couple on the bounce, scoring 3 goals a game? or is it just a recent thing?

The piss off McCabe was for all the wobble gob comments he makes:
QUALITY not QUANTITY, £12million war chest, The Blades Way e.t.c.

The piss off Blackie bit was aimed at his tactics yesterday...piss poor.

Nope mi owd sumats wrong at BDTBL.

Oh are i bet the value of 'loan players' has gone through the roof !

"Piss off Blackwell" suggests to me you want him to go.

Perhaps better wording is needed if you didn't mean it?

Nope mi owd sumats wrong at BDTBL.

So in actual fact, you did say it? You did want him out due to his tactics yesterday? :)

Which part of those comments (ignoring the fact that only two of them can be attributed to him), has he failed to deliver on? The club has consistantly said that we won't get players in just to make numbers up. That we may have to wait on the right quality to become available.

The Blades Way is an ethos that is being implemented throughout the whole club, again, exactly how have we seen this not happen?

£12million war chest? when exactly did Mr McCabe state this? I don't recall it, all he said was that investment was available should Blackie choose to use it.

Oh are i bet the value of 'loan players' has gone through the roof !

Well one of them has gone increasingly out of the frame, what with Cattermole's antics yesterday, unless of course McCabe put him up to it in order to buy his grandkids a new watch?

Agree mi owd mucker.............. its just that i didn't get a very good education...down pit when i were 15. Yer get the jist of it though, don't yer?

Hey Foxy tha gettin mi all confused !

Blackie wern't my cuppa tea but nope i'm not sayin ditch him more like back him !

Mind yer his tactics yesterday were piss poor.

So we "have to get the jist" of your posts rather than understand what you say???

Now i'm confused??

Do we just take as read or make it up??
