Without wishing to get into any arguments, can i ask those saying that nobody run on the pitch,did you run on the pitch when you were younger,i know i did,every last game of the season,even when we beat Forest to finally win a game in the top league,let them run on,then get off so the players can receive the trophy and do a lap of honour.I will not have a go at todays young uns for doing something i used to do.
 
The chances of people running on the pitch are as certain as some on here telling people not to run on the pitch !!

If you get my point.

Once the lap of honour and trophy presentation is done, it's fair game I reckon. The scene of Sharp on the shoulders of fans with the trophy aloft would be amazing

In my view he's only said that because Ched isn't part of this promotion winning team and it would be disrespectful to the current playing squad to discuss a signing that potentially replaces one of this seasons heroes.

I didn't run on the pitch.
Why are they running on the pitch? To celebrate winning promotion??....no we have done that already.
Win the league??...no we've already done that too.

So why? The manager has respectfully asked the fans to be respectful to his wishes.
That should be enough for people to listen and do as he asks. What better way to pay homage to the man than show him respect at all times.
I won't be there sadly, but it would be nice if the players can accept the trophy, have the fireworks or whatever then lap the pitch and parade the trophy with the fans.
If there is any hint the fans will mob them, then they won't do that.

Maybe there's more to CW's request than meets the eye . Wilders last hurrah ? Maybe there's more to the Birmingham and Norwich rumours than just idle gossip ?

Im not seeing that at all.
In fact, I don't even see the need to suggest that. The manager has said quite rightly why he's not even going to discuss the player .
Kevin McCabe might have made some bloody daft decisions over the years, but forcing a player he doesn't want onto the best manager he has managed to hire in his time at the club isn't one of them.
If Evans comes, it's because the manager wants him. End.

If it's that he's off to Brum, or Norwich.....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....that's the funniest load of old tosh I think I've ever heard.
He's going nowhere.

I would be more critical of the old uns. I know for the last match it is celebration, high spirits, etc, but pitch invasions are creeping back into football. If they continue to increase, and become more threatening, which they surely will, where will that lead? We have seen where fences led. Anyone who witnessed Hillsborough should at the very least be discouraging the return of pitch invasions. An invite to go onto the pitch after the players have gone would make sense.

It's not just the younger ones though, it's the blokes in their 50's jumping about with arms flapping about like demented Chickens.

I'll be the one with a bold head glasses blue jumper and jeans with my half and half scarf tied round my wrist. UTB.
