yes it is. My brother had a farmhouse there for many years. He eventually moved from there about 4 years ago now. The weather was the main thing that made him decide to leave. It is the highest market town in England and the average temperatures there are lower than most other towns and cities in this country. Not only that, but it appears to be in a climatic trough and has been on record as the wettest town in England. So, cold and wet, most of the year round - lovely!
