The powers that be don't disagree, finding a quality midfielder we can sign however is this issue. Blackie has apparently had a go at a couple only to lose out on them.

The current midfield weren't as big an issue however when we were sticking 3 past QPR and Blackpool.

Last seasons start was much worse and we nearly got to the play offs.

Well Foxy i don't like Henderson full stop.

I never particularly liked him before we signed him. I'm more than willing to give him a chance whenever he pulls on the Blades shirt however. Lets not forget he wasn't fit when he joined and was a good few yards off the pace. Match by match his touch is improving and I think he's shown signs of good hold up play and bringing others into the game.
To be fair to him, he also gets a lot of hopeful balls targeted in his general direction due to his height, many that he's had to run 10-20 yards to get anywhere near. Think its very unfair to write him off and him be subject to as much critisisms at this stage.

Tonge has been absolute shite every game i've seen.

He's been poor overall so far this season, but i'd say he's had the odd promising game. As usual, he is far too inconsistant and seems to spend far to much time reflecting on any mistake during the game.

More teams are going to come to BDTBL and play like Cardiff we couldn't break them down and that concerns me.

It'd begin to concern me on maybe the 3/4th occaision. This however is the second home league match, the other being a 3-0 win. It's hardly time to write off the season on one game where nothing fell for us.

The same could be said for the majority of the football league. Sadly, there are many Premiership teams also looking for this player and we are unable to compete with that. Even then, there aren't many around and available. We can't just magic one up.

Promotion won't come easy and carrying passengers makes it impossible.

The last time we got promoted, many shouted that most of the squad were passengers. Until the right players become possible, we'll always have to carry someone at some stage... thats why we are 5th in the championship and not top of the premier.

I agree with some of what you say but ....

The sort of midfielder us older guys want don't exist anymore. The player who can dominate the midfield and pick out passes.

If it's been going on for 4 seasons and 3 different managers I'd say it looks an impossible task.

Just like when we wanted a striker we were cheapskates and went and spent a mere £4million on Beatts.

But which midfielder of this ilk would you say has joined another club rather than the Blades because we wouldn't pay out? Bear in mind they'd have to realistically want to join us.
