He was poor - let's tell it as it is. He took the goal well but should have had another before that and fluffed it. He was hardly in the game apart from knocking the ball out of play. He won't be here next season. Appreciate the lads workrate and he may be a good squad player for a smaller club in League 1 or 2 but he's served his purpose here I'm afraid.

That is all. Well done today, lad - good to see you grab a goal. Works his knackers off.

UTB.

Echo that. Not a fan of his but he always gives 100% and he deserved that moment after quite a difficult season for him.

Incidentally, he also scored in that net in added time last season! Just in slightly different circumstances....

It was a great finish right in front of us all. Proves what we.ve all been saying all season. Can't beat a Runaround.
All joking aside
he was average as were many others. We did enough against a very poor opponenet.
My genuine concern is what Billy has to offer. On today, yet again nothing bar petulant stupid free kicks given away whan outpaced/muscled off the ball.
Cue major abuse.

He's not a world beater but he hasn't deserved the stick he's come in for. We all know wingback isn't his preferred position and if it wasn't for the fact his goals dried up he did well with Billy before Christmas and contributed to the 15 game unbeaten run. You could see how much that goal meant to him today and you could tell the rest of the team were right behind him. We have better options now but credit where it's due. Well played Matty

No abuse from me, Sharp's been poor for the last few games. Maybe the effort put in earlier in the season & the emotion he's feeling has affected him.
Hope he can get those two goals before the end of the season.

Billy's been superb this season but if we are totally honest he's been well off the boil the last 6/7 matches save for the second half at Northampton. It's not a critisism. Just an observation. It happens to all strikers. He has more than enough brownie points in the bank though

That's quite a bold statement.

I was behind the dig outs, Wilder was lovid at the midfield not getting the ball out to him. He should have scored earlier, but, for me, he needed that goal. He's a blade, works his bollocks off.

Do you have an issue in determining the difference betweem major and genuine.
They look different and are.

Is it really a genuine concern that the joint leading goalscorer in the country is going through a minor spell without scoring – something that pretty much happens with most goal scorers at some point.

People had the same concerns before Christmas. And before Christmas the previous year. They proved not to be worth worrying about.

That's quite a bold statement.

It is.My worry is what he has left for next season. Genuinely. We have never found an appropriate partner for him in his 3 stints and my concern is that wont happen come August, unless it's Lavery who IMO will be the stand out striker.

The trick is to have a player able to come into the team when the striker hits a bad patch. Not to replace perhaps, but to bring on as sub....maybe start ahead of him but not completely replace.
That way it keeps everyone on their toes.

26 goals?

Not taking anything away from that fantastic achievement. Expressing an opinion going forward and I won't be ha

ppy in 6 months posting I told you so.
Love Billy, not sure next year and I don't think Wilder will either. I think Billy will be a second pick.

Done is limited but I think he played a major part in the success from October to January harrying and pushing the opposition deeper allowing Billy to bag the important goals. That may well be his last start for us as I don't see him as a Championship player but he's been an important cog in this season's wheel.

As for Billy's form I think he is mentally and physically knackered from this season's efforts, hopefully a summer rest will see him back for next season where I expect to him to be a member of a rotation of forward players including Lavery, a new pacey signing and Clarke.

I see Billy starting next season alongside a better striker and probably ending it on the bench. He'll still score goals next season.

As for this season, he'll probably score 2 in one game to take him to 200.... just wait for Monday. He likes Bradford.

Done's goal was a great finish . I also echo most others opinion of him too ..... He works his bollox off for the team . Bottom line though , he'll be off in the summer along with a few others who have offered exactly the same application as him whenever they've been asked to .

Thank you and good luck to them all .

I think it's been a long season, and some players are starting to feel it a little, and perhaps ready for some rest and recoup.
I think Billy is one....Freeman might be another although I will say that Freeman hasn't seemed to dip his levels all season. Fleck just doesn't seem to ever look tired.

So for me, and it's only my opinion I don't see Billy getting another goal at the moment. He looks shattered.
As for next season, I think if we want to be top half and pushing Sharp won't be first choice. He might be on the bench, as I doubt he will want to leave.
I think he will have one more season then look to take it a bit easier.

Agree he should go at the end if the season but I thought he played well today especially defensively

Player coach role at the end of next season?

Clarke bashing out of fashion now Koz ;) bring on the next sacrifice

Mebbes.....he has his soccer school, will be doing his badges if he hasn't already so a little coaching role while he keeps himself fit and ready for the odd cameo from the bench during the season may be an option.

I am unsure about O'Shea . Seems to do fuck all but then scores goals. Could be a good option as a back up
