People that leave the Match before full time

Even when I knew there was no other train back to Sheffield, I stayed for Extra Time and penalties vs. West Ham the other year. Wouldn't have been able to just leave before the game had found its conclusion...

Luckily ended up being able to jump on one from Kings Cross to Donny and then forked out like £30 for a taxi home. Didn't care - great day.

But then I am a huge Blade, obviously.

I tend to start making my way on 90 mins

By the time I get to the other end of the kop, (B gangway to G gangway exit) it's full time or almost full time

I make no apology for this. I pay the same entry fee as others. I can leave when I see fit :p

If we are drawing or losing btw and pushing for a goal I sometimes hang back. Game won, I'm off

I never leave early but as far as I'm concerned it's a personal choice and people are entitled to. I can't understand why it bothers people so much.

They've paid for a ticket like the rest of us and can do as they please. I want the full game for my entry fee but it's just a personal choice. There are probably all sorts of different reasons why folk leave early....beating traffic, having to get to work, picking up their kids....could be anything so why judge them?

This is the problem with modern society. Social media gives everyone a platform to pipe up about things that don't concern them. Live and let live.

It's fucking ridiculous. Bandwagon jumpers and people here for a day out, people who don't genuinely give a shit about the blades, turn up late, leave at 40 minutes, and then walk out 10 minutes before the end. Fuck off, give me 18,000 die hards over 30,000 of these complete oxygen wasting bellends any day.

I learned many years back never to buy a seat behind a gangway exit. To finesse it further, get a seat halfway along a row so you rarely have folk walking across you. :)

If people want to leave early then they should. Mildly irritating when they get in the way of the view, but not as bad as late comers who then stand and block the view while adjusting themselves.

I don't leave early, just in case I miss something (anything) extraordinary, it is the Blades after all.

Of course, would be less of a problem if we had standing areas. Anyone started a thread on that recently?

I leave because I am a jinx. Left when 1-0 down against Scunthorpe. We scored as I walked through the exit. Left again against Coventry, same thing happened. You should all thank me. Managed to stop all game for Bolton and might manage every minute next year.

As I've said on another thread eerily similar to this: as a tight arse Yorkshireman, if I'm paying hard earned money for something, I'm going to eek out every bit of value from it.

As Mr Durden rightly says, cunts that leave their seats early but loiter in the aisle deserve a pick axe to their knees. Either fuck off for your early bus or sit the fuck down!

At the Coventry game a group of 8 on our row in the South Stand arrived 15 minutes late; left their seats 5 minutes before half time, came back 10 minutes into the second half and left 10 mins before the end.

To their credit they did not obscure my view of either of the goals but I suspect that they regard that as a failure on their part.

300 mile drive home, so started leaving in injury time for night matches, means we get home in four hours instead of five. After the Millwall game the m42, m5 and m4 all had sections closed. It`s that or falling asleep at the wheel. Been doing the 600 mile round trip for forty years, but only just started the early exit this season due to age creeping on. When we play Swansea that`s my home match 60 miles east of me, 90 to Cardiff, 125 Bristol, 200 to Birmingham. Must be great living just up the road in York ( if that`s where you reside ).

Where in gods name do you live?

I do It when I've drove down to BDTBL (Which is often).

I'm not quite sure why I do. Traffic makes my piss itch, so it's probably that. I also like to get home for the 5:30pm kick off Saturday nights.
