Defeats the point of bothering to have threads for different subjects, but I'll let you off on this occasion as your table is just so wonderfully impressive.

Don't do it again though...

That's the trouble with this country today, coppers lenient because they can't be bothered to do the paperwork etc.

Coooooooots (There it is). ❤⚽

What's the prize fund for Div One Champions?

All players left after the summer will want a pay rise, anyone coming in won't be on Div One wages.

Been told that getting into the Championship will mean a 25% pay increase for the players still on contract

The problem will lie in the current players wages, as anyone who is contracted will most likely receive around a 25% increase in wages, thats extremely common in players contracts and an obvious across the club from u18 to first team, anyone out of contract obviously the exceptions.

Southampton is a club that did a promotion based contract incentive that inadvertadly led to Forte earning 14k a week. Having signed on 3.5k, their contracts doubled with each promotion.

I very much doubt Sharp, Brayford, Fleck, Moore will not be at least increasing their wages by 50%.

It's funny you should ask that I spent 15 mins or so on Google last week trying to find the answer out to this. I couldn't! The best I got was a few years back Southampton fans saying they thought it was 100k but most people say you get sweet FA once you're beyond the Championship. If anyone could enlighten me further that would be interesting.

This article states that the average Championship wage for your Ipswich/Preston/Barnsley is around £10K

https://www.888sport.com/blog/footb...ch-do-championship-football-players-get-paid/

Obviously some speculation but we know the wage bill and 'rumoured' figures, so can hazard a guess.

Let's be generous and use 50% increase in wages and let's say Billy is currently one of the highest of our players maybe on around £8k a week.
£16K for your top Championship striker is modest...Let's imagine Fleck, Moore are on around £5k so again, their wages, even with the very generous 50% increase would be around the average for the Championship.

Obviously you've got the 'big spenders such Newcastle, Villa and t'Pigs who smash those figures...Rhodes on around £45k per week!?!?!?

16k a week is 832k a year, we can't afford to have many players on close to that and you don't need to to be successful, the total wage budget will be about 8-9m i bet (2-3m increase on this year).

8-9 million...

We could be close to that before buying anyone with performance/promotion based increases to current contracts...

In the 2013-14 season there were only three clubs with a wage bill below 8.9 million according to this:

..times, and wages have moved on...

I know they do, and perhaps be looking more towards 10-12m, no more as it wouldn't make sense.

It is so pivotal and Wilder has already highlighted the fact that we won't be disrupting a squad too much, with that spirt, winning mentality and passion you can go a long way.

Yep, you sure can and I trust Wilder to get it right...but the gap in wages is getting wider between the Champ and L1 ( though I'd guess Burtonnare bucking that trend a bit)

here's the 2015/16 wages.
