Well hasn't she matured into a stunning young woman.
Wouldn't have thought that from the memories of that goofy looking lass from the United programme.

And it seems she is something to do with production at Sky on soccer Saturday. Girls done well and so if I was a young lad looking for a female companion.....Fit- tick....Blade- Tick....dad former manager of my club- Tick....(and all round top bloke)

She can't be single, some fella must have landed on his feet.

For anyone too young to remember Bassett.
Bassett was a southern London boy but he really gelled with the fans and quickly became an adopted Blade. His personality and early impact on our club was very similar (almost identical) to Wilder.

I will be eternally grateful to both Bassett and Wilder for what they've done to turn around our club.

It's really scary that there are Blades attending home and away now who won't have witnessed what he did for us.
I was mid/late 20s when he came,I now have two kids almost the age I was back then.
Let's hope they get as much enjoyment from Wilder as we did Bassett. It's started well.
UTB !

To be fair there are two schools of thought on Harry.
Some think he was a breath of fresh air joining a struggling club and taking us to successive promotions and a stint in the top flight with little to no proper backing from the board and giving us both joy and pride.
Then there's Pinchy!

I sort of fell out with DB when he tipped Paliss over us in our first play off final. Time however has healed that little problem. He recommended Wilder to our board and thankfully they listened.

I was 4 when he got sacked but by all accounts I was the biggest Bassett fan there was :)

All seems too good to be true....bound to be a Lesbian.

Excellent. More Bassett. We simply can't have enough praise for an unrepentant purveyor of redundant, discredited anti-football. Please keep it coming. S2 just wouldn't be the same without it.

A bit of Upanatem Muckanettles, possibly the worst coach in football, as well. My cup runneth over.

Sometimes you just can't help being the site cunt can you?

No need to let our promotion celebrations prevent you dishing out more abuse our two most successful managers since the 70's, eh Pinchy

OK you don't like Bassett or Warnock. We know. Now do us a favour and just enjoy the good times. Ta.

This particular good time is brought to us by Tuftyball. It's light years ahead of anything Diplodocus and OBN produced. In fact, they wouldn't understand what was going on. Midfielders getting on the ball, passing and moving rather than getting a stiff neck or elpiniton.

I doubt there's anyone enjoying this wonderful vindication of the right way more than I. Some are already hoping for a bit of alehouse friendly adjustment in the league above. One or two would dig up our superb playing surface and substitute a cow field.

We're just not comfortable with quality in S2. What was rudimentary enough for Bassett decades ago is okay by us now. That much is clear by our absolute commitment to mention him every day without fail and seek to excommunicate those who don't subscribe to the faith.

I've been providing the uncomfortable truths for many years, yes. Sometimes it's hard wotk, given the complete inability of much of my audience to accept the obvious. However, I'm dedicated to my job, and with Tufty's help I think I'm finally getting somewhere.

I'm still stinging from the inconvenient truth that was Nigel Adkins :(

As someone who often agrees with you and has always said the style of football we are playing today is the way forward, I am still staggered you can disrespect a man who achieved what back then was unthinkable. Back to back promotions. Also I remember those wins against Forest, Southampton, Man United in Both league and cup (last time we beat them if I remember right). Cup run to Wembley when it actually meant something, Brian Deane, Tony Agana, Simon Tracey, Alan Kelly and a whole raft of other gems unearthed. Sticking 6 past Spurs with Franz Carr tearing them a new arsehole, Leicester away on that fateful day. Double over the filth.

This day and age he is a footnote and his tactics probably wouldn't work however, only an arrogant fool who knows little to nothing about genuine team achievements against the odds would begrudge the man the credit he genuinely deserved.

It was only because the board gerrymandered the club and sold Deane that we went down.

He put us back on the map when we were heading back towards the fourth division at an alarming speed. Give the man respect or at least hold your piece. As I say, for a man who professes to teach others you really are an empty vessel at times.

Sir Bobby Davison night and Leicester away, two of the best days in my life! (Obviously just behind birth of kids) Dave Bassett is a blade legend.
