It was great to see Leon get on the score sheet tonight and I'm happy for him.

I have some concerns about him though. When you see him from the side you will notice that when he is standing straight up his upper back is often bent forward very harshly so that his head is about a foot further forward than the rest of his body. Has anyone else noticed this?

I was watching him tonight and i am concerned about his posture as I feel it is very likely to cause him serious back problems in the future.

I wanted to take a picture so i could show everyone but I couldn't take it in time as he always changed position too quickly but here are some examples I have found:

Sorry, I don't know why that picture is posted three times! Bloody phone!

My only concern with Leon Clarke long term is that he will be playing for us in the Championship next season.

We definitely need to sign at least a couple of strikers for next season and get rid of McNulty, Done, Clarke and Hanson.

Look at that bottom picture though. That can't be good for the spine.

Funny that, cos I don't know why it's posted there at all?

Bizarre observation Nade and whilst I'm sure your concern for Leon's long term sciatica problems are well intended, I doubt it will affect his Utd career ;)

In the words of the prophet, you're talking bollocks

He's a hunchback. No matter Stancliffe had a club foot but did ok.
A clubbed back. That would be a fucker though.

Hanson and Clarke will cut in the Championship. If you don't believe me ask.Wilder

There is a reason both are coming towards the end of their careers and never cut in it the Championship before!

YES Blade is pretty much spot on.

None of those 4 strikers should be here next season.
We'll see. I'd value Wilders opinion above yours any day of the week

Past performance is no guarantee of future returns

How do you know what Wilder's opinion on them as Championship strikers is? He hasn't given it yet has he? They were both sign for a League One club, we're a Championship club now.

So what are you basing your opinion of them on? Surely all players are judged on past performances? How else can anyone form an opinion?

and strange atmospheric conditions make Clarke appear to be running faster than he actually is.....

It's not about how well he played. It's about opinions on him earlier in the season. If people can't praise him for tonight, even if they don't rate him - which is fair enough - some need to have a word with themselves. He's wearing the stripes ffs.

No one has slagged off his performance tonight as far as I'm aware?

Hope you realise that I was praising Leon there young man! He showed good pace for a big man, and tricky feet

Point out where I said anyone had. I asked why criticism of him was brought up before acknowledging tonight's performance.

Nice try though, but once again, did you praise him before saying he's not good enough, let's say for next year.

Why people have pretend something's bern said in a post when it clearly hasnt is beyond me.

I'll savor this with a nice brandy and cigar in my library tonight young man, smoking jacket or not!

I'm afraid after a fruitless post match visit to the Copthorne to shake Kevin McCabes hand, I can only run to a Valpolicella Ripasso tonight. The Brunello stays where it is until promotion is assured and the fizzy French stuff awaits confirmation of the title.
