To play SISU after they've won that wooden trophy thing because they won't care about anything afterwards since they're all but relegated anyway?

Or is it better to play SISU after they've just lost as they'll be utterly despondent after losing their only chance of happiness this season and won't fancy a midweek trip up north to make them even more miserable?

Or is it a moot point because they're shit either way?

Better for them to win, and ease up a bit against us.

Then Oxford are also more likely to respond by beating Fleetwood.

They're shit but a bit of extra time and a late defeat doesn't do us any harm.

That's a good point, I didn't factor Oxford into the equation.

wonder if that coventry fan who was spouting shit about how their protests are worthwhile and called us all cunts will come back on here next week

A big day out and a pat on the back for winning a trophy nobody gives a fuck about = their players turn up.

Staying in the third division? Ooh no. Why would we want to turn up for a silly thing like that? :D

Oxford have made them look far better than they are, though. They've been watching old DVD's of some of our Wembley performances.

To be fair SISU have looked quick on the break so we will have to be aware . Bloody Stuart Beavon playing as well who always seems to score against us

Funny - Beavon looked a player the first season we were down here banging in the goals for Wycombe, however after a move to Preston, I don't think he's looked anything since.

The problem with this pop psychology stuff is it's easy to spin it either way. They win, they'll be on a high and playing their best. They win, they'll not care about the league, that's already gone. They lose, they'll be desperate to go out on some kind of a high. They lose, they'll be motivated for vengeance. Lose and they'll be utterly despondent. And so on.

The only thing that matters is that they're objectively a worse side than us. If we play to our best, it's better than them playing to their best.

Cov are working very hard to stop oxford getting any rhythm, playing well to say where they are in the league.
I expect Oxford to at least get one and pressure them.

I hope they win the shit trophy, be all smiley and happy then get absolutely smashed at the lane Wednesday, that'll bring em back down to earth and their 25 travelling fans.

well I look at it as weve already played 3 games against these 2 clubs and won all 3
the fact theyve had a day out at wembley for a game no ones watching because Arsenal v man city is on means buggar all

Michael Appleton looks like an extra from a bad Guy Ritchie film.

Answers on a postcard to "Of Course He Fucking Won't Competition", at the usual address.

"Finally, the Coventry players get their clubs' name etched on the famous old trophy..."

I'm not at all bothered who wins. We are good enough to win the league without help or influence from any other team being knackered/motivated/confident etc

Over 74,000 in Wembley today.......what a fucking joke from the Coventry protesters.

I seriously don't think we need to be worrying about them either way. If we play as well as we did for 70 minutes v Millwall, we'll win.

I cant understand how we didnt manage to get Appleton as a manager as after all according to Oxford fans he is the future type of manager and Chris Wilder is the past . Imagine where we would have been if we had got Appleton instead ? IMAGINE ....................

I am looking forward to Roy's pre match view from Coventry, the hatred towards us is going to be hilarious

I imagine they will all be giddy after winning the shit pot trophy as well...........don't know about you lot, but in their situation I'd be more bothered about league status than that meaningless silverware. At least it was a nice day out for the 43,000 glory seekers.

It is quite a consolation for Coventry Before everyone forgets about them forever.

They've won twice today.

Because they also receive my inaugural Sharpest Tool In The Shed award.

After all, nothing says 'SISU Out' like going out of your way to put a couple of million quid into their coffers.
