Unusual dislike for a player

No it was for our resident player abuser. Hope no one makes a stray pass on Tuesday and becomes a 'useless cunt'.

I'll make sure I ask your permission first, don't want to offend you after all, delicate little thing that you are...

Any of the team relegated from the Championship deserve to be disliked, it should never have happened, we lost Morgan, Henderson and Williamson to injury that season but still had enough to stay up. The x4 managerial changes were a total screw up by McCabe as well.

Any player who doesn't give 100% from day one doesn't deserve hero worshiping, anyone who pulls the red & white stripes on should give it everything they have as a minimum, irrespective of liking the manager, being played out of position, not liking the tactics, not enjoying training etc.

Just as a follow up to my rant about Henderson. When he came back from injury during our relegation season he managed to get himself sent off on his first game back.

Yes, had some shockers away. 'Nesh cunt' were words I used at several grounds in the London area during his stay with us. The most annoying thing is I'd see him at the Lane, then tell the mates going to an away game with me (semi-Blades southerners I've converted) how good McDonald was and he'd inevitably do fuck all. At Charlton when we were all over them but still lost, he was completely overshadowed by Doyle. Yes, Doyle!
And the most frustrating thing is I thought he'd had one of his best games for us against County in a more advanced position where he didn't have to defend as much, and then the twat leaves.
I hated that money grabbing cunt too, he couldn't wait to fuck off to Wolves then he did the same shit there refusing to sign a contract. Wilson should have fucked him off before the season started.

That's one thing I've noticed over the years.

Players of genuine quality like Walker, Naughton and Brown all managed to leave the club with decency and dignity. Even DCL who I personally didn't think warranted a Premiership club still had some class about him and he appears to be doing quite well. I'm happy for him.

Inferior ones on the other hand like McDonald, Kilgallon, Slew and Adams all behaved like utter pricks and I'm delighted to say that they will never achieve anything.

Add De Juve to that list too.

Which column would you put Collins or Doyle in ?

Neither really. They weren't among our better players at the time so it didn't really matter that they left (although there were times last season when I wished Doyle was still in the team just to give us a bit of backbone).
I didn't like Collins as a player, nor did I like his bullying blame-shifting attitude on the pitch, but then again I don't agree with the way he was treated at times either.

Michael Brown? No dignity in my eyes. Couldn't wait to leave.

This above is the point for all of us on here. especially the giving of 100%. We'd all have given every body part or whatever (not including your feet) to have played just one minute for the club we love. It is more than just taking it for granted and being disrespectful to the club it is snoot at us by those players and we are the important ones.
Also why 4 pages in no one has mentioned Craig Beattie is a bit of a mystery?
I loathe Craig Beattie - he's a given for everyone surely.

Some declining stars...

Stuart McCall was a huge problem after his legs went and Warnock still insisted on playing him every week. Eventually we had two defensive work horses doing the running for him, to at least avoid being overrun.

James Harper was a typical Blackwell signing. Expensive, top league experience, but past his best.

Richard Cresswell wasn't quite as good/effective as many thought in 2011/12 and was also awful in the following season, often falling over as fitter players just nicked the ball off him.

Barry Robson looked like a super star strutting his stuff at a too low level, delivering amazingly creative passes which all went just out of play.

Dave Kitson faded badly after a decent start. Eventually lost his place to Joe Ironside.

I'll put a couple in the mix that I haven't seen mentioned...

Harrison Mcgahey - think him and Che and possibly Freeman were just fucking about most of the time.

Andy Butler - supposedly a bell end, found his level.

What's the deal with Kilgallon, Tyler? I get the other 3 but I assume I'm missing something?

In the summer of 2009 he rejected new contract terms after weeks of fucking around. At the same time there were several clubs looking at him, including Sunderland and Burnley. Burnley were actually the first to bid but he rejected that move, obviously holding out for better terms elsewhere, namely Sunderland.

Anyway, he started the 09/10 season still as a United player, probably much to his annoyance. His performances between August and January could only be described as "taking the fucking piss". I had never seen anyone make it look so blatantly obvious that they wanted to leave. As soon as he saw the big money he fucked us off without even the slightest regard.

As a player, I'd say I hated him as much as any footballer I can think of.

The twattery of Curle wasn't ruthless professionalism - it was embarrassing and a distraction. This season we've shown how discipline is part of success - we've been a joy to watch from 1 to 11.

Oh, and for the record, Tony McMahon and Darius Henderson take silver and bronze in the JD hall of shame. Play properly or fook off!

Keith Curle does come across as a really objectionable bastard. He sabotaged Paul Holland's career at Mansfield and then got the sack himself for being a bully. Carlisle's recent collapse has their fans threatening to boycott matches till he is sacked, and it wouldn't surprise me if the players feel the same way.

I didn't even know he was there. I've little knowledge of him as a manager, but as a player I saw enough to know what he was about.

How can Hammond get a mention on this thread? The thread title is "Unusual Dislike for a Player" First off - what's unusual about dislike for Hammond? Second - it says "Player"

Mark Howard I havent seen, decent enough keeper, sometimes just didnt look like he could be bothered to dive
