Unusual dislike for a player

Sorry petal ,but asking if someone has pulled his weight (even at 6 stone) is hardly the length to which you seem to like slagging our 'cunts' is it ? Oconnell ,Basham and Coutts are already making your 'appreciation' of our players abilities look very silly aren't they dear .

Praised all three this past couple of weeks on individual occasions actually flower. O'Connell in particular played his best game all season on Tuesday and was immense in my opinion I'm happy to say.

I think this is more about your inability to handle any form of criticism when it arises.

Just hope we don't get a thread titled Usual dislike for a player ,you might hurt yourself in the rush.

Hmm, I think I've already proven that not to be the case more than once. Don't let that get in the way of your 'angry clapper' routine though.

Paul Devlin, Jose Baxter, Dean Hammond, Vinnie Jones, Paul Williams, Phil Thompson, Peter Withe, Conor Sammon, Che Adams, Paul Thirlwell, Ian Rush and most of the fuckers from last season.

Slightly baffled by some of the Coutts comments. For one he was far from the worst player over the previous season or so and secondly if he is nothing more than a contract mercenary then why has Wilder repeatedly sung his praises, given him a (virtually) nailed on starting place and made him vice captain?

Done to death but Freeman explained that he was recovering from injury and no one wanted the bloody ball off him ,but you know best don't you. He was also played out of position by a fucking idiot. Scougalls pulled his weight this season hasn't he ?

I generally don't like players who pick and choose which manager they play for and not the fans. Still doesn't put a challenge in and can't track back. Thank duck for Fleck

But on a good note, yes he's had a good season but he was starting at the bottom

Che Adams is the best shout for me. Not such a usual one to dislike, and I really did come to dislike him a lot. Was very happy when we sold him.

Tyler is a footballing artiste - it is natural that he will express his opinions passionately

I nearly walked away from united because of coutts and Adkins last year. Yes he's had a good season and well played but I will never like him

Steve Morrison what a big headed little prick he is. Cunt can't stand him

Darius Henderson. A complete cockwomble who was part of the relegation galactico.

Didn't like him at Watford and no surprise he ended up being a complete arsehole for us as well. Will he score today? No he will elbow a defender and get sent off. Then have the cheek to argue with the ref that he was the one fouled.

We paid £2 million for that twat and gave him a 4 year deal. 20 goals while he was with us, thats £100,000 per goal.

Fuck knows what sort of wages he was on but we like to throw money down the shitter.

I always thought Macdonald was a bit of a knob to be honest. Played well when he could be arsed but disappeared all too often. He never once looked happy to be here. In the end he proved himself to be after one thing and one thing only, money.

I hated that little cunt Diego De Girolamo.

His attitude stank the place out with his sense of entitlement after winning a couple of Italian u19 caps. Whingeing like a little girl on social media when he wasn't selected. The sum total of his career are those couple of U19 caps and a hat trick in the Checkatrade Trophy for Cheltenham, yet when he was us his sense of arrogant entitlement led to think he was bigger than the club.

The only fucking idiot whose career now consists of playing for Bristol City reserves, yet on social media still describes himself as an 'Adidas Athlete'.

McEvely, Sammon and Hammoon for me....

Coutts fits perfectly with the way Wilder plays...Ricky Holmes and O'Toole were in the wilderness until Wilder turned their careers around at Northampton and he has done the same with Coutts....he is probably the first nam on the team sheet and that's an amazing transformation from someone who was on the transfer list at the start of the season

Any players with ability and a seemingly good attitude that you just couldnt stand, even though others did. Cant quite forgive Coutts for his lack of effort last season, despite the brilliant season hes having, dont hate him but can never love him

! I bet you can't wait for him to make a mistake then so you can get on his back eh?

Coutts was inconsistent last season - sometimes very good, sometimes not so good. He was playing in a team full of shirkers who didn't want the ball. He'd had a long spell out with injury before that - and he was playing for a manager who was the most clueless of any manager we've ever had. I always thought he looked better in a more defensive midfield role, collecting the ball from our defenders and moving it through the midfield, rather than being an attacking midfielder. And that's where Wilder is playing him now - to great effect.

I don't hate or love any players tbh. I appreciate skill and talent. I enjoy watching some players more than others. But no, I can't say I have ever been emotionally involved about any of them.

Scougall for me.

1 goal of note, being on the end of a WWE body slam and a lot of running around like a headless chicken whilst creating very little would be a good summary for his Utd career.

He comes across as a decent lad and I therefore wish him well but I'll be pleased when he moves on over summer as he's not good enough for the top end of L1 and certainly way short of being good enough for the Champ.

Brian Howard used to drive me fucking mad, you could rely on him getting to play just as it moved elsewhere then he'd flail around under the pretence of looking busy.

Seemed to have a career built solely around scoring a last minute winner at Liverpool for Barnsley, and while he wasn't the worst Blades player I've seen by a long way, I just couldn't stand watching him.

Every time I read down the thread I nod my head , and there is another fucker . From Coutts , Hendrie , Ched , to Bash .

Circumstances made some players look bad ie poor management , injuries .

Don't forget we have had some real shite . Ian Rush , Phil Thompson , it's a integral part of a clubs DNA having a unusual dislike for a player .

Wilder has turned round a number of players bought by Clough , Madkins which has got us were we are today .

Fuck me , I have seen some garbage at the lane . Coutts , Freeman shouldn't even be mentioned

Brian Howard , Leon Britain were good players but we're never utilised properly or played to there full potential .

Why we bought them in the first place with the football we played as always baffled me.

Absolutely loved watching Couttsy this season but I can understand why people are a bit stand off-ish about him. I, among with many others, watched him totally and absolutely give up mid-game towards the end of last season. Left me wondering why the hell I was bothering to turn up every week to watch the set of cunts.

I think he's just about redeemed himself this year for me. He's been fantastic and I can only put his lack of enthusiasm last season down to playing alongside vastly inferior footballers.

Are you asking me sitwell? Why so agressive? I'll answer your question on scougall he has played well in games this season and scored some important goals. I am a fan. (Im a bigger fan of freemans tho btw despite everything, I would have kept him and not signed brayford permanently)

I find it hilarious that people are happy to write players off as "Shite", "Mercanaries" or the old favourite "playing for a contract"
As a pro these days I can pretty much guarantee that the player is not shite. If they are in their mid twenties and playing first team football then they have proven they can do the job required.
What Coutts, Freeman, Basham, Done, Scougall etc etc have all shown is that they are different. And being different they all have different qualities. For example there would be no point asking Scougall to be a midfield enforcer crunching into tackles....or sitting deep and receiving the ball off the defence and moving it on. He hasn't the weight or physique to tackle, and his passing and first touch are not consistent enough.
But have him as a free player, left to roam around between defence and midfield, turn and run with the ball and he will cause teams problems.

The point is, players are required to do jobs set as tactics by a manager.
If that manager is good, he will know the abilities and attributes of his players and use them in a way to get the best out of them.
Adkins didn't do this....Wilder has with great results. The manager will know how to build a squad and mould that squad to be able to carry out several tactics at his bequest. Again, Wilder has proven good at this too.

So, using the usual example of Coutts....again....he was ALWAYS able to do the job he is doing now. He has had fitness issues, but the ability hasn't just magically appeared in September. He's also benefitted from having players like Fleck alongside him...someone he knows and can trust will not lose the ball if he passes to him, and knows he will receive the ball from him at the right time, at the right pace and onto his favoured foot. The little things that make the difference between amateur and pro. Same can be said for Freeman.

So back on topic....I never had an issue with any of the players we have presently. I did however detest Collins because he was just a root cause of the demise of the club....bought by a fuckwit manager.

I have bigger hatred for managers than players.
