I agree that the pitch will be the same for both sides, but they are used to it and no doubt are playing a style that accommodates it. Oldham have lost only once at home since the middle of December. Poor pitches and the weather can be a great leveller. I think it was the Hartlepool home game in 2012 when BDTBL was sopping wet and we tried our passing game and Hartlepool, who hadn't won for 22 matches, played hoofball and produced this reaction from Spelling on Sky.?
Wilder may have been joking on the radio when he said 'If there could be a car crash at any club, it's this one ! .' but every joke has an element of truth in it and I am sure that CW, like most sensible Blades fans, won't be taking any game for granted, this one especially as they have a habit of causing us problems.
