2 games I'm worried about....

Bradford and millwall..got confidence in wilder but we are at that stage of the season now where anything can happen and one slip up could derail us . And don't get me started on oldhams pitch, It's an absolute nightmare for our style of play

Think we will come through both of them with 4 points minimum mate tbh, and we have coped with poor pitches before. I am not being arrogant but just listening to Wilder this week assures me that none of our players will let up. Add to that we are 10 points clear of 3rd and I remain confident.

2012 still hurts and still looms large but it is worth remembering that we are not 2nd being chased down this time. We are clear leaders and the scrap is for 2nd well behind us. Bolton have equally bad fixtures coming; Southend and Scunny away, both of whom are still in the playoff mix, followed immediately by Oldham and Bury, two teams both in a scrap and local derbies at that.

Will we do it? Hard to say for sure but I believe we will.

Poor pitches and the weather can be a great leveller. I think it was the Hartlepool home game in 2012 when BDTBL was sopping wet and we tried our passing game and Hartlepool, who hadn't won for 22 matches, played hoofball and produced this reaction from Spelling on Sky.?



Wilder may have been joking on the radio when he said 'If there could be a car crash at any club, it's this one ! .' but every joke has an element of truth in it and I am sure that CW, like most sensible Blades fans, won't be taking any game for granted, this one especially as they have a habit of causing us problems.

However Millwalll have a fixture pile up and should run out of steam.
To be honest I expect us to beat them.

Bradford are a good footballing side and I expect them to be very similar to Charlton.
They'll give us a proper game, take the game to us and put our defence under pressure.
I expect this one to end up a draw.

That isn't a question that arises from what I said. The danger of over-confidence and not getting it right against the likes of Oldham on their mud-heap of a pitch was. We also have a recent history which involves end of season collapses of form for various reasons (eg the Evans saga, 2012-13 (7 points out of the last 24)) sufficient to warn against blase assumptions. Confidence is a good thing. Overconfidence is not.

The two games that are the only little niggle of concern for me are the next two, the pitch, and rumours of injuries at Oldham and bogey team Millwall to follow.

If we win both those it will extend the lead back to Bolton to at worst nine points and I can't see them getting that back in seven games..

..however one or no points will have Bolton right up our arse or even above on goal difference as they will almost certainly beat Chesterfield and Shrewsbury, that will be a psychological blow to lose such a lead.

Next two games are huge for top spot.
