Just wanted to share my absolute joy at the minute. I honestly can't stop thinking about the Blades at the minute, how good we've been and the miracles that have been peformed by Chris, Alan and of course the players.

Can't ever remember feeling this great, even in the first season I think this just feels more special and a reward for how unbelivably loyal we've been as a group of supporters.

Unfortunately I no longer live local but have already got tickets for the Chesterfield game because what an occasion that promises to be. I know all of us who have seen anything significant of the Blades still have the irrational fear of how it could all go wrong with it being us. But even with those nightmare memories, my fear has gone now, we wont lose more than 2 or 3 games at worst and can see us winning at least 4 more from those remaining fixtures. Wilder won't let the players think about anything other than the task in hand and we have shown time and time again we are too good for anyone when at our best.
Also it's a bank holiday weekend just to make it all the more special. Keep picturing the scenes in the stadium and then in surrounding pubs afterwards and it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! What a party that will be.

On another note, I am fascinated and excited to see what absolute treats Wilder can bring in next season. If all that talk about investing more significantly when we got into the championship has any truth to it, then it will be great to see what they can do with a competitive championship budget. He has clearly proved along with the backroom staff that they know what they are doing, so we could well see some top drawyer players come through the door.

Finally, I don't see us being in a relegation fight in that division either, due to the sheer hard work and playing style that Wilder has instilled. Hope we can be one of those occasional teams that carries on the momentum and challenges up the top end!

Happy times Blades!

I've never known the fans so United and pro the manager.
Feel really sorry for the pessimists (slashers) because there's nothing to be negative about.
There was a guy on Bladesmad called Len who constantly slated the club at every opportunity.
You'd swear he was a Pig but he seemed to know a hell of a lot about the Blades.
Surprise....surprise he's gone into hiding this season.

It was never like this under Warnock. I remember even during our promotion season he always had a minority of vocal critics because some of our performances were terrible with terrible football.

The last manager who gave our club an identity and really transformed it was Dave Bassett.
When we eventually sacked Bassett there was a tinge of sadness and little animosity towards him.

I hope fans think back to Wilder achievement and show him loyalty when things don't go well.

Imagine if we lose 3 and draw 1 of our first 4 matches next season I bet many of our fans will still call for Wilder to be sacked. There's no loyalty in football these days and that includes the fans.

What Wilder has done is a miracle. It's not only that we are winning but also the style of play.
Wilders team are much more pleasing in the eye than either Warnocks and Bassett teams.

Wilder is the best manager for years and deserves the credit, but if we don't hit the play off's next season he can do one.

I'm in dreamland at the minute, still can't quite believe what is happening.

Romping our way to the title is something I never thought I'd see, never mind with a Blade at the helm and a Blade as captain and top scorer.

There's no doubt it's exciting times under Wilder, and much as I'd like to think we'll consolidate or better in the championship, I wonder what will happen if we struggle. How patient will the board be then, when the current trend seems to be roll the dice and change the manager at the first sign of trouble.

I really hope that isn't the case and Wilder is given time because I think he's the best manager we've had for years.

Provided we're north of the bottom 5 think the board will stick with him, but will the fans?

I think the Chesterfield game could be an anti-climax it is quite possible that we will have won the league and been presented with the trophy long before that game.

You may be right mate but on the other hand, every single game after being crowned could be party time :D

I will quite happily watch any game now, where as I fell out of love with the game last season. I love it now that I enjoy watching football again. Saturday nights with no football was awful and I have missed it.

I don't think we would be presented with the trophy before the final game should we win the league and in advance of the chesterfield game

Well, the three games ive been to recently have been a treat and a pleasure to be a part of what youre all enjoying and deserve to at long last..

I also find it refreshing that as a team collective they pretty much get on with the game and not get embroiled in any silly stuff like surrounding the referee or any of the poncey play acting and cheating cynical diving makarkey thats a blight on todays game... I hope that continues onwards and upwards :)

Although I believe we will do it this season there's far to much optimism going on, stop it.

It's OK to report in a reserved manner your pleasure in our current position of strength but my nightmare scenario is still a possibility (needing to draw or beat Chezzy and Evan's scoring only goal). Until that possibility is gone I'm wearing the old 1974 pants day and night
