This season has been a victory for 'Bladeyness' as coined by some snobby cunts on here.

It stands to reason that anyone familiar with the club will have a better understanding of how to take us forward. This isn't blinkered biasedness it is a logical progression.

Fuck me . Never been called a snobby cunt Tyler . Been called a twat many times:cool:

I don't like to criticise a young man who I assume is preparing for a career in journalism, but I have to agree with TCsLoveChild . It's just written very strangely as if you were our good friend Roberto !

"where he was positioned as club manager, compared to his two stints he had at the club during his playing career."

The sentence is clumsy and cumbersome in itself, but why would you use the word "positioned"? Surely in footballing parlance, either appointed or even installed would have been more suitable.

"he opened the eyes of United Chairman Kevin McCabe, who fought away competitors to get Wilder’s signature."

Another odd sentence. Surely, "he came to the attention of...." or even "caught the eye of......". Then "fought away"? Perhaps "fought off" or just "beat" or "won the race".

Anyway, that's just the first two paragraphs, there are many more.

I'm guessing you're using a thesaurus to come up with different words, however I'd suggest to just stick to the most relevant ones.

Best of luck!

It's common sense really isn't it? It's not great big business decisions, it's working with the lifeblood of the club because really, that's who know the club inside and out.

https://lh9sport.wordpress.com/2017...nge-chris-wilder-has-brought-to-bramall-lane/ <-- Would be great if you could give my analysis piece on how Chris Wilder has brought success back to Bramall Lane a read. Thanks:)

Hi Louis, is that you in the picture or are you younger?

Either way your article is a good effort and the alternative expressions criticised above are not really that serious so don't be upset. Different people with different backgrounds express things all sorts of ways and truthfully it's not one of S2' s best suits, if I may use that expression as an illustration.

As for the content, the article has a good introduction, middle and conclusion and good balance, with relevant information which holds the attention.

The question is posed " how did he do it" and is only partly answered.

In the summer Wilder cleared out 17? players and sent his most expensive player on loan. He had to reduce the player wage bill and at the same time change the culture of the club. He reduced the size of the squad ,changed formation after a disastrous start and quickly made his mind up that some of his own signings were not good enough. The problem area of central defence was solved early by an expensive loan signing from the drivision above and the goalkeeping problem soon corrected by a big fee signing for us, again from a higher club.A solid Championshipb pro was also installed at left wing back.

Those quick, decisive moves were bold as were his early recognitions that transfer listed players, Coutts and Freeman, were proper footballers who demonstrated a will to play for him.As with the above examples, Wilder showed no fear of being proved wrong if changes were necessary.

Always uses progressive attacking tactics, good substitutions and a refreshing 'shoot from the hip', honest, straight speaking persona with players and media. No place for young ,inexperienced players when there is a title to win ( despite his job brief). The average age of his Northampton squad was 28 in fact.

Hope that's helpful if too wordy for your brief.

If you have room for one additional ingredient, mention Alan Knill. Before he joined Wilder our 'messiah' had not won anything for years in his 700 game management career.

Best wishes Louis.

No reflection on you in particular Bos. I just resent this attitude that those from our city who are also connected to our club are somehow inferior.
'Bladeyness' is a myth propogated by arseholes. This season we have Chris Wilder and Our Billy who understand our club better than anyone, and who can argue that it hasn't worked?
I have no time for anybody who talks down our city and our club. They can fuck off to Hillsborough or to Hell as far as I'm concerned. (Same place really)

Vitriol towards a young new member yet gets 3 "likes"'.

Takes all sorts. Cheap and nasty.

It's not vitriol it's an honest assessment of a shockingly written article.

I appreciate the effort the lad has put in; it is great that he wants to write and that should definitely be encouraged, but the grammar and prose made it almost unreadable at times.

If you ask for honest feedback, honest feedback is what you should get. I hope he takes the criticism on board, maybe does some basic grammar/writing lessons or training and continues to express his good content in a better, more readable way; but that article needs criticism if asked for an opinion.

Don't worry the self appointed forum guru has spoken and that is the last word on the matter.

Carefully used the word ' vitriol'. It was not just 'criticism' and it certainly did not offer any advice to a young lad; nothing constructive or helpful whatsoever.

He apologised for being so blunt but it was constructive. The criticism was justified so if you ask for a critique and you get a bad one then you should work to put right where different people slag it off. I would not have been so blunt but, where justified, any crticism is constructive.

It wasn't nasty either as vitriol suggests. @Lord Bos of Eckington even apologised for his honesty.

It is certainly more constructive and helpful than telling him it is a great article and not mentioning anything about the unreadable prose or grammar.

Flogging this by now but seriously bpicker, where's anything constructive in this below?

Sorry to say shocking piece of writing . Just got bored and it was like someone taking the piss with the spelling and grammar.

Sorry to be so blunt blade .

Louis Hobbs thanks for the article. However as pointed out by a few on here, it does have a few spelling and grammar issues. The good points are that it is Blades related and you clearly enjoy sharing your work.

Your comments on what the manager has done are spot on. Remarkable job and he should be on for Manager of The Year. Your encouragement for new input is well said. I enjoy all the different views even if the punctuation and grammar is a bit poor, its the views and comments that matter. Great site this.
