Karl Robinson 'Jealous' of Sheffield United

He's been wanting to say that for years.

So he took his chance, thinking people would think he was only talking about our league position.

I actually think he gives an honest assessment of us

Only my view like

He's always been complimentary of us. Saw him a few times on Sky covering our games and he always bugs us up. Honestly think we're his dream job

Perhaps im just naive, but it seems to me that he went out of his way to praise our players and management.

I'm not sure why people are being so mean to him, the complimentary fat scouser.

It's definitely not mind tricks, he's not Phil Parkinson. He's genuinely jealous, we pipped them to many of their targets. (Can't believe I just typed that!).

God I cannot stand that smarmy twat.

Mr Cliche...talks a good game that's for sure! But in practice somehow has managed just one promotion and a relegation in his manager career of several years. Yet has somehow garnished a reputation as a good manager.

No doubt he will have a useful budget to wok from next season and get them somewhere near promotion.

One point....he says they not lost against top 5, should have beat some of them apparently and too many draws. Well they were bloody lucky to get a point against us and were second best by a mile. Perhaps he forgot to mention that.

'Smarmy' is definitely the word of choice when it comes to Karl Robinson. It only took one reply and then it pops up again in post 12. LOL.

An honest but clever answer imo. I reckon the praising of our players, is in the hope that if they get released or told they aren't wanted at the end of the season then it stands him in a good position.

To be fair while they were lucky against us it was our woeful efforts to keep the ball near their corner flag that cost us. Not because he's a chubby scouser. Plus he seems to dislike the Pigs, which normally counts for a lot...

It is an honest assessment about us. He's still an arrogant scouse twat though!. My scouse mates at work don't think much of him either!. Utb

We have so many Jonny Foreigner managers , he fits the image of young up and coming English manager , therefore touted by the press and TV as one for the future ( even was discussed as a future Englamd manager )

Does show us all how standards have fallen and how we all clutch at straws for a young manager mid 30 to 40.

They all seem to fail like the new bloke at Derby will due to high expectations . Robinson cannot live up to his or the publicity and propaganda thrown and created by him . Hence Charlton not Chelski .

We have found a gem with Wilder , who will be deemed not good enough by the majority of championship clubs and all premiership clubs . Some faces fit , others don't , like in every walk of life.

Do you mean Gary Rowett? He was doing really well at Brum before being unceremoniously sacked when the new owners came in; thought he was very unlucky to be honest and Derby may well benefit?

He was actually very complimentary about us as a club and Chris Wilder.

His words were but they just felt tainted, as if he was saying them through gritted teeth. Not to mention he was quite short and almost rude with the interviewer in the way he answered the questions- Worlds apart from Wilder.

Slime ball.

Mind games. He's one of the teams Wilder referred to in his pre-match press - nothing to play for. Robinson buttering us up so we let our guard down and be all pally pally come sat.

Not buying it. Let's smash 'em

Making a big thing on there about not losing to any of the top 5 (& how nice it'll be for them to look back, come the end of the season, on not having been beaten by any of the top sides).

Soz Karl, ya fat bastard. You're gonna get the stuffing you deserved down at The Valley.

IMO the Derby squad is just not good enough with well paid , good contract players just not doing the business .

Also the chairman a bit like McCabe has made some glaring managerial mistakes which has cost them big style both financially and league table position.

Players ruling the roost , clicks within the dressing room will bring Rowett down unless he can ship out the majority of the first team squad. . Some clubs cannot be turned around , like us , until Wilder came .

Rowett won't have the money or the clout and unfortunately will fall on his sword . The merry go round will start again.

Rowett is a good manager but has picked the wrong club.

Robinson will be out of work next season or well before like this season , if we hammer them Saturday.

With regards Wilder , if he had gone to Charlton , they would be top of the league not Sheffield United who would be fighting relegation.

Nah.....I can't knock him for that interview and I do believe the majority.

When at MK Franchise, I found it hard not to be complimentary towards Robinson for the way in which he built "proper footballing teams" with minimal spend......I think we can draw a good few similarities between Robinson and Wilder when it comes to how they like their team to play football HOWEVER I don't believe Wilder to be the much better manager of the two for his all round attributes.

I think the fact that Robinson wanted the same players that we signed sort of confirms the above...

I'll take your word for it with regard to Derby, with respect I hope you're wrong! I don't really follow the game closely enough anymore to be in the know. I have zero interest in the Premier League, zero interest in the Champions League and middling interest in the Champ! Essentially I follow Utd only as it's all become a bloody circus frankly and I can't be arsed with the majority of it!!

Sorry didn't mean to rant there it just came out! I do however wholeheartedly agree with your final paragraph!
