And whilst all looks good, some seem to have short memories. I remember when we looked home and hosed and then bottled it and a team not to far from here went on an incredible run and done us for second These things happen

I will remain cautiously optimistic BTL, but refuse to get carried away until the jobs done

I will say it again
we will not bottle it
this team is incapable of doing that, see last 2 away games
 
Can we still be caught ? sure we can but every game played makes it more and more unlikely. Reality says only two teams have a chance of overtaking us but I can't see both of them winning every remaining game and lets be right that is what they would have to do to knock us off top spot. This is the time when the form book goes out of the window no doubt there will be some strange results for every team I just can't see us falling apart at this late stage.

To get to the magic 2 points per game, Fleetwood and Bolton would have to reach 44 and 42 matches respectively to even be there.

We are slightly better than 2 per game already. I think that helps to sum up the effort it takes to catch up our form.

Very demoralising for those chasing. A good win for both away from home yet despite this we concede 2 wonder goals yet bang in 4 at the other end and our 'one man team' striker didn't even score. Ivan Drago-esque - you will not break me!

The pressure is all on bolton and fleetwood who both have to win 3 more games than us in the last 9 or 10.and they have to score more goals

It's been a great season. What a side Wilder has created.

The work is not complete. We have a lovely lead at the moment but we need to be cautious not to get overexcited. Bolton and Fleetwood are sat there in a decent position and if we have a little wobble at any point that points gap will soon disappear.

Totally agree. Everyone was getting in a panic about Fleetwood last week.

We don't even need to match either of the teams to go up as Champions.
 
I started to believe when Wilder got the job, easy to say now but I honestly knew we would piss this league even after the bad start. Everything was in place for the club to finally get out of the league bar one thing, the manager, soon as we got the right man the writing was on the wall. CHAMPIONS
 
It's these kind of threads that make me question the motives of the uber positive types.

Wanting to not get ahead ourselves isn't being negative or critical. You can guarantee Wilder won't be.

I'm extremely confident we'll get the job done, far more than I was in our first season down here. Then again who would have predicted the run of results the Pigs put together to finish the season.

Have I missed a match as we have 9 matches left the same as Fleetwood - Scunthorpe and Bradford have 8 left

Yes it looks like Bolton have found form with 8 goals away in 2 matches which they hadnt managed before. Was hoping Fleetwood would have slipped up at Walsall after their disappointing defeat v Bolton but obviously they bounced back. Cant rule out either at the moment but as long as we maintain 2 points per match average then we wont miss out
 
Scunny got a win in the end so something has kicked them up the arse last night
It showed some character to come back and win after the run they've been on
Just need them to take a draw off Bolton now

I agree. And for that reason, I declare us relentless and uncatchable and I welcome supporters of Bolton and Fleetwood to doff their caps in our direction.


We are to Fleetwood and Bolton, what Charlton were to us and the pigs in 2012. What Wolves were to Brentford and Rotherham in 2014. What Bristol were to Preston and MK in 2015. What Wigan were to Burton and Walsall last year.


Bolton and Fleetwood know they are fighting it out for 2nd. Dibs has been well and truly called on top spot.

Who thinks Bolton are invincible?


Who thinks we won’t win the league?


Who thinks we won’t be promoted?


Just because some people want to be mathematically certain before celebrating, doesn’t mean they think the things you are pretending they do.


Everyone knows it is incredibly unlikely that we will lose a top 2 spot from here and pretty unlikely that we will lose top spot.

they hide it well
some think bolton can win all 10 they have left as they say it will go to the last day
theres only one way that can happen logically

unless we utterly collapse

which is an even worse thing to think
