also helps with time wasting though. and thankfully this season, teams havent really been timewasting against us, and if they do then we somehow end up with a winner just before the end
 
I would love to be a ball boy,would only last the one game mind,if we were winning my time wasting tactics would be outrageous and lead to complaints from the opposition manager which would lead to my dismissal ,if I was at the Lane End,I would give the away fans a Sammy Nelson for good measure

I don't know about the worst one either, but we had the 'assault/racism' thing against Oldham when Dickov was manager. One of their wanky players tried to snatch the ball and being the big man he was got into a tussle with a teenager. Dickov came out and blamed the crowd and everyone else and made no apology for his player's antics. Another wanker who deserves a slap - that would be a very long thread!
 
How about that one Jimmy Hill slagged off on national TV when he returned the ball too fast and enabled Liverpool to score.

'Croft' another wanker where the dulling of the brain has protected me from high blood presssure. Was there a 'racist' thing and was it played down by United, or was that just a rumour?

The prize could go to one of our ballboys from 1994/95.

We were playing Swindon on 15th April 1995. It were 2-2 with about 5 minutes left and the Blades were pressing for a winner to try to get in the play-offs (they failed of course). The ball was cleared deep into United territory but as Paul Beesley ran back to retrieve it as it bobbled towards the touchline, a ballboy inexplicably came onto the pitch and kicked the ball to Beesley!

Beesley went absolutely ape-shit with this poor kid as it meant a drop ball. The game ended 2-2.
